I am sorry, I didn't really get the social deduction aspect of the game. What benefit is there to keeping your Demi secret to the other players?

Given anyone can manipulate any demis, if your demi is known, it would be easier to focus on you so that you would lose reknown rather than win any

Looking into getting the game finds great explanation on gameplay and mechanics… channel gets sub.. I go to click off the video.. I get an “I LOVE YOU”.. I get sent spiraling into years of repressed emotions.. good vid none the less. I’m gonna go cry now

What's the point of shuffling the City deck and drawing cards till you get the altar, then reshuffling? Why not just pull out the altar and shuffle the rest?

Probably multiple altar cards that are slightly different.

Great question! You don't need to shuffle before finding the first alter. The alter is the most basic city card and is always used in the first age.

Can this game get any more complicated? The aesthetics of the game are nice and detailed but I don't think this game will sit well with a big audience given how complicated the gameplay is. It reminded me a lot of Catan but at least Catan can be explained in under 1 minute and can be understood by almost any age group. I have watched around 7 tutorial videos so far about this game and still can't seem to grasp anything about its purpose and don't think it is fun at all.

It's a hard game to explain, but pretty straight-forward to play. Have you watched any gameplay vids (not tutorials). I found it much easier to pick up watching those
