@@TheLunarnotes I guess since padel is growing all over the world so amazingly fast, padel brands are in their moment, so they have no reason not to rise their prices. Back in the 90´s padel gear was relatively inexpensive compare to tennis for example. That being said there are second brands, that have reasonable prices and they offer good quality: Royal padel, Sidespin, Kombat, Kelme, Kappa, Dufour, Sane, Sola. etc. All of this brands have nice products for amateur and even competitive players. But if you look for top brands like Bullpadel, Nox, Adidas, Head, Wilson, and specially their top of the line models, prices are up to 5 times other raquets (palas o paletas are how they call it in spanish) And believe me in this you can it even tell the difference between a 120 bucks racket from a 300 one until you reach quite a high level. Go for a medium model in a second brand and you will enjoy a lot. Spend your money on padel lessons, and you will be fine. Then may be, you need something that match your needs. But you can not know what you need unless you play well and play a lot. Greetings from Argentina, I hope you find this useful.

Scoring system is the same used while playing tennis (game-set-match), but in recent years the deuce has been changed to the Gold Point. This new norm is used when the game is 40-40, it's called the Gold Point bc the team that wins the next point wins the game, the team that recieves the serve choses the player that is going to recieve it skipping what would be the natural serving order.

Clearly, you have never played padel nor watched professional players. Padel is much more about tactics and playing at the right speed. Many tennis players that start with padel make A LOT of mistakes by hitting way too hard or with too much slice on the forehand, meaning their balls: 1. Go straight to the wall and lose the point easily 2. Go too hard and give an easy rebound for the opponents to counterattack. I don't think it's easy for tennis players to get used to this.

it's a far more physical version of tennis. While raw strenght isn't that much necesary as it is in tennis, you jump way more often, you run foward and back more often (even outside of court), and most points are decided on volley, wich means is more intensive on the quick reaction and reflexes. Since the game gives a lot more oportunities to recover, points also tend to be longer, and there are more chances to get back from a mistake in the middle of a point. Just watch any doubles match of tennis the Davis Cup, and compare it to the Padel World Tour, you will see what i mean.

For God sake!!!! Can anyone please explain how to score in this game nothing and no one explain it very well everybody says it just like scoring in tennis No it’s not!!! They say if you hit the opponent ground twice you score!! And if the ball hit the opponent grid the opponent score!! That doesn’t make sense what if the opponent just play lazy and my ball always hits his grid!! I just want to understand this game and not look like a fool when I play!? 🥲

It is the same as tennis. I think you may be overthinking it. If the ball bounces twice, you lose the point. If the ball hits the net, you lose the point. If the ball hits the opponent's wall before hitting the opponent court (similar to hitting it out in tennis), you lose the point. If you double fault on a serve, you lose the point. The part you're confused about is hitting the grid. If the ball hits the grid after a serve, the server wins the point, not the opponent. It's the same as an ace in tennis.

You can score in this game by: You return the ball to the opponent's side and bounces twice. You return the ball and bounces once in the opponent's side, the ball goes outside the 'cage' and bounces outside. You return the ball and hits any part of the opponent's body. Your opponent fails to return the ball by hitting the net. Your opponent returns the ball but hits the glass/grid before hitting the court. Your opponent hits the ball outside the 'cage' without touching your side of the court first. Your opponent commits a double fault. Your opponent touches the net while the ball is still in play. Things to take into consideration: The ball has to bounce once in your opponent's side to be considered in play, if it goes staight to the glass, grid or even out of the 'cage' the ball is considered out. After the first bounce in your opponent's side, the ball can touch both glass and grid. (serve exception) When you serve, the ball has to hit the court (serve square) first and then it can hit the glass, but never the grid as it would be considered fault. You are able to play a ball that goes outside the 'cage', check the World Padel Tour (WPT) yt channel to see a great demonstration. You can use your own glass to return the ball to the other side but never the grid, you can check this as well on the WPT channel as it hosts the bests talents of the sport. Hope this helps!
