"80s solo" is a pretty good preset for this solo

How do you do hammer ons and pull offs without losing volume? Every time I do a pull off, the string always gets quieter and sometimes mutes all together? Please help. I'm not a shredder and not really planning on being one. My main focus is on writing music and playing bass. But your videos have been extremely helpful for me, especially the Blackened solo, when I'm writing solos for songs and trying to replicate/ modify a certain lick/ pattern.

I see a lot of people do a unison bend on 15(b string)and 14 (g string) down to 14( D string). Can you tell me why some tabs show 12 whole step on g to 14 on D?

Tabs are usually petty inaccurate and hard to use. That’s why it’s better to either learn songs by ear or youtube.
