Love the spark tables! Found them very inspiring for backstory. Based on your rolls, I was thinking the knights were on opposite sides of the disputed marriage. It was an arranged marriage (as noble marriages often are), and the bride to be wanted no part of it because she is in love with the Free Knight! The Free Knight was honor bound to fight to free her from this unwanted marriage bond. The Tourney Knight, being the prideful knight that he is, was tasked with enforcing this marriage and was enticed to do so because the lady's hand comes with a sizable dowry that was necessary to keep the Tourney Knight's poor kingdom afloat. Part of this dowry was offered as prize to the Tourney Knight if he could successfully enforce the marriage.

I really like everything I'm seeing -- combat sounds really flexible and interesting, not crunchy but certainly crispy !

preparing to run this in a couple of days, described the tone to my players as "holy grail meets dark souls"

Lol. When I first saw the combat changes in the early drafts I wasn't keen. I was dead wrong. Its a great mini-game.

For the silly title for the referee, how about the ALLSEER ? ✨👁️✨

Everything seems great! Movement is a little odd to me when determining if Blast attacks will hit. Bit other than that, every rule seems absolutely straightforward and decision making seems interesting.

Love your work. Small quibble: It seems way too easy to knock someone off a horse. Basically any damage roll of 4+ will do it. So a 50% chance armed only with a dagger. And since being dismounted itself causes 1d6 damage, there's no reason not to do it.

What kind of actions can Companions (such as the Snare Knight's animal companion) (or Steeds) take? e.g., Can the Snare Knight's Vengeful Weasel attack in combat? Like I see in the preview that all beasts seem to have a Guard value which implies to me they can be involved in combat? But while "Charger" has a "d8 trample" and the "Hound" has a "d6 bite" listed, the "Riding Steed, Heavy Steed, Pony, Mule, Sheep/Pig" and the Steeds/companions on the Knights' pages do not have any attack/damage listed. Thanks!

I was wondering : when the Tourney Knight was at VIG 7 and loses 4 points, he should have been out of combat immediately, right ?

When you lose your Animal Companion as the Talon Knight, the Torney Knight or the Snare Knight dies is there a way to get another?
