I love the idea of this. The OSR is incredible and has done wonders for simplifying and speeding up the game, but now I'm ready for more. Idk what I mean exactly, but an OSR style 4e D&D with combat options getting some love sounds close to right. I hope Chris's new system is able to scratch some of that itch!

Another great interview! Thanks for doing these! I backed this on kickstarter, it's probably one of those games I'll never get to run, but from experience, McDowall's books are so good there is always something in them you can use and their inspirational value is HUGE! Planning to mine this for my second Dolmenwood campaign, which I have plans for making very knight-and-faction centric.

@@DiekuGames Sure! I ran a Dolmenwood campaign for two years, but I'm really eager to get a new one started at some point, but will wait til the books arrive. Running the game with print-outs and whatnot got a little exhausting after a while. . Busy with UVG and Warlock! atm! :)

Everytime Chris shares insights on his creative process, it is fascinating. Garry being a great interviewer just elevates it some more.

Just started watching this interview, but I know I’m going to love it! I think Chris is one of the most interesting and inspiring RPG creators, and I really think you do a great job interviewing people, Gary. Hope both of you keep up your respective great work!

I love the idea of rumours through the town folk and perfect knowledge through the wierdo hermits that don’t help you until they realise you helped them like yoda or obi wan before they reveal that they are Jedi masters

Really looking forward to this one! Electric Bastionland is an amazing book with so many great ideas (and art) within and great game design, but Mythic Bastionland would be an easier sell for my group.

I do wish that the Kickstarter would also have an add-on for Into the Odd Remastered in addition to Electric Bastionland. That would be nifty.
