30:20 he takes damage, HP goes to zero, he gets a scar, and now somehow his HP goes to 6? how does that mechanic work in the world exactly?

The HP increase from scars is to your maximum HP, not your current HP. It represents you getting better at avoiding harm in future, but you're still vulnerable in that moment.

I'm so confused because the prep for this one shot is nothing like in the book: what is the treasure, where is the borough, where are the cable cars and where is the random encounter table?
