@@lijojacob9668 Messi took a break from international football. World Cup qualifiers were going on. Do you know how many goals were scored by Argentina in that 11 month period? Absolutely fucking zero. He had to come back and make sure they even made it to the World Cup. He can't do it all alone.

I remember back in high school my dad said Ronaldinho was the best player in the world and started watching barca because of him but when I saw Messi for the first time against Madrid in the hatrick classico. Wow factor. Fast foward 15+ years I named my son after Lionel. It hurt when I saw Eto, Henry, Xavi, Mascherano, Iniesta, Puyol, Marquez etc. It will break my heart to see Messi retire but happy I got to see him in my life time. Idk y u ppl talk abt fifa rating which is complete bs but all I know is messi has his own flaws like penalties, tapins,giving up after opponent comes back in second leg(roma, Liverpool),making the team dependent on him(this is an important factor,PPL play better when there are no expectations on them) and headers.....the important ones here are the phycological factors bcoz the factors related to his game can be improved...he loses his grit in a game unless his team makes the first move(like against rma, barca win almost all the time if the first goal is scored by them)

You should be contributing everywhere. Messi has 2 best player awards in WC and Copa , Those who still say CR7 is better , they must be clearly blind or have prejudice against him . actually, in 2013 jupp heynckes said he knew how to stop messi and he won 7-0. in 2019 vs liverpool and in 2018 vs roma these weren‘t really messi‘s fault it was more of a „“messi did everything he could but the team wasn‘t sufficient enough,,“ kind of situation.
