I respect the commitment. I agree Azu is still really really fun. I like the character personality and the stances feel really fluid.

A lot of gold mine tips here. I didnt know about 3,2 cancel to stance.

Its just that people complain about something a character does and then they nerf the character to the max. If they can nerf azucena then victor,feng,lili and more need nerfs like azucena🤷‍♂️

Dunno much about Feng, but for real Victor and Lili piss me off, mashing their way to victory always moving forward, Reina too but at least I interrupt Reina more often.

Really respect the commitment, i kinda dropped her until she gets buffed again.

Since I was a Reina main before the Azucena nerfs it didn't hurt me but I can see how players like the character even after she's been weakened. One of the byproducts however of the nerf to Azucena is a whole bunch of other characters have multiplied in her place including King for some reason. Commitment is important in this game...and I respect that you still main Azucena

I have one foot out the Azucena door. Tried a few characters, but none feel natural to me yet. I wasn't exactly an Azucena expert, but I felt comfortable with her. Maybe if I try these tips I'll be able to stick with her.

12 punishment into backturn is much better than 11 anyway. Backturn mix is stronger imo. But that patch was way too overkill, so I hope they will give her more other tools in the next patch, maybe more tracking from her stances and more consistent ways to get into stance mix on block

You can use uf1 (sabaki) after her 2,1! I like to check them jabbing after it, specially when I need to close rounds. Thanks for the video, I was going to learn her before the patch, but then the patch notes dropped and I played her religiously after. I've been having a lot of fun trying to get more into stance, but it's also really difficult to do so. I'm just a low-level casual for now, but I'm glad you're giving this content for us! I appreciate it.

They over did it with the db4 nerf... ehh no one was asking for that to be nerfed.

This really shows that WR3-2 being as busted as it was, was hurting this character's identity. She was supposed to be a stance character/tricky offensive character all along, but busted WR3-2 prompted us to do it way too often and she ended up being a plus frames offensive type of character, to the point that doing stances was not neccessary at all when WR3-2 was such a party starter. Now we actually have to use a big part of her movelist, stances and frametraps, and even if she is not as powerful as she was, at least this playstyle is more flashy and fun to watch, whereas pre-patch it was very easy and justified to hate on Azucena, playing against her and watching her was just not fun. So we better hear no hate towards her anymore, she is normalized.

They jus made all these changes because mfs cry about shit they can’t stop meanwhile I’ve heard not one Azucena main(myself included) publicly speak about the tremendous damage she takes from combo strings etc. yet they keep taking pieces away from her core foundation it’s weird to me she was originally built that way for a reason and they’ve dulled her sure I could pick and play someone else ( I can play quite a few people she’s just my favorite win or lose) but I enjoy playing Azucena…rant over 😅

Some of these nerfs need to be reversed. All characters should have access to decent neutral tools and you shouldn’t be forced to play a certain way with a character. Limits creativity. Nice video though

'we want people to use her stance' proceeds to nerf (11) a move that leads to her stance. And since when are we not allowed to play a character the way we want?. Imagine Mishimas only being able to launch of an electric because they want you to use electrics... Stupid

Tbh glad azucena is in the dirt. That way she knows how it feels to be mid tier. Her dumb stuff on release was unbearable. Not balanced
