MY absolute favorite JCM song!!! Well done!

I live here in Seymour Indiana and that's my favorite song John Mellencamp's Mural is just 2 blocks down from where I live on the wall of his first drummers music Store call This old Guitar everyti e I hear this song it reminds me of Seymour Indiana.

I agree Marty , Prob his best…On the Don Kirshners live performance John turns to his guitar player and chuckles at one point. I don’t think he ever thought this song would be so beloved by his fans….I sang this with an old band of mine..Nice Job!

I love most all his songs, but Jackie Brown always hits me good and Scarecrow makes me feel like a damned farmer that’s ready to blow my top!! Paper in Fire, Cherry Bomb, and I LOVE (I think it’s called) Jackie O. There r so many just really great, simple all-American rock n roll songs he’s out out it’s honestly pretty amazing. By the way, this is my first video I’ve seen of urs and really like ur style. For me, it’s easier to learn a song when u know the basics of the song and get to play along with someone who knows it well.

Awesome Marty! Thank you for all you do. I've learned so much from you since I've never taken a lesson. JCM is one of my favs and this one and Pink Houses are so fun to play. Need to work on the slap/strum timing but even without it, it's starting to sound great! Thanks again my friend!

That album I adore, wore out a cassette, had it in vinyle still have the CD. No idea why but every song just got to me. Hurt to hear that for many years mellencamp hated it. I don’t GAF John. It moved me from 18-35.

I think JCM does it in B.......But I transpose alot of songs to fit my vocal also...
