I have 5 more days until I ship out and honestly hearing someone who isn't my dad or a recruiter telling me about Basic training is really comforting. I'm really bad at push ups (I can do like 3 at a time) but I'm really relived that it'll start out slow.

Do what she suggests about the knee push ups, and working your way up! I just started doing it a week ago, and I already can go the required amount of push ups. I haven't had a gym class since 5th grade, and I'm almost 21. I am really out of shape, and her tips are helping me so much! My suggestion, watch her videos, and plank. I planned for as long as I could (my hands were turning blood red) and I'd drop until I was comfortable, and do it again. Helps you hold your body weight, and strengthen yourself for push ups! My fear is running. I don't have anywhere to run where I live.

Ni hao Tokyo I just saw all of the videos you have saved, and I'm going to subscribe to you so that I can access those! You have a really good list going :) find a friend to push you. My husband is a marine, so he pushes me, but my cousin is also enlisting, so he's training the same way I am. When I get the chance here soon, I'm going to be training with him, and building myself up

I went to basic in August of 1999. I was lazy the last couple of months before shipping out. Don't do that. You will lose most of your pre-ship progress. One thing that helped me with PT was punishments, or TI Tools. My MTI would have me drop and do pushups. NOT at my pace, but he would say "UP!" and I would hold at that spot until "DOWN!" was communicated. Staying in the down position until instructed. Occaisonally, mid-rep, he would have me hold in-between up and down position. Some up/down instructions would be immediate, some would have a couple of seconds. The mid-reps would alternate. This will get you caught up quickly. I recommend doing a bit of this, starting with knee pushups, or against an elevated surface. It WORKS!

that depends on whether you have a rube for a dorm chief or not. Some flights get lucky and some get totalitarian shit bags who go out of their way to be a fucking try hard. Once you're in the operational none of that insane shit matters. You will sit in a cubicle most of the day, eat donuts and bitch about being over paid and under worked (if you aren't flightline)

Katie Huskey I was reading somebody's advice for woman going to air force basic training, and they suggested bringing a few pairs of black spandex shorts, and sleeping in them because it's like one less step to getting ready in the morning. You just throw your clothes over them and you're done.

I really appreciate your videos. I wholeheartedly do. Ever since I was a kid I dreamed of becoming an American Airmen. Now that I'm 6 months away from High school graduation my dream is becoming more and more real with every week that passes by. I've been watching your videos for a couple of days now and I wanted to let you know that the fear I once had towards enlisting has turned into concrete courage! With that said I hope you can help me out with my question.. As of today I weigh 81kg which is 178.5 lbs. I have always struggled with my weight and I feel as if its impossible to lose it all in order to meet the weight I need to be because of my inconsistency. I'm 5'3" and my weigh has to be 155lbs. Do you have any suggestion that can help me lose 23lbs the right way to be ready for BMT?

Are there ruck marches during bmt? I’m going from prior Army to Air Force and we went on ruck marches all the time, so I’m really happy not hearing about the Air Force doing them lol

I am very overweight, so I joined a Tae Kwon Do studio as well as have a personal trainer I meet with once every week for weight training, aside from going to the gym on my own. I am considering joining the Air Force in two years, with two years of martial arts training. In your opinion, do you think martial arts and weights will help me prepare for it?
