This was great (for my vertical images)! But what image size should I use for horizontal images?!

I tried this method in Jan 2022 and my image still comes out compressed and nowhere near as crisp as it looks on my smartphone. It's landscape images that I find the most challenging when attempting to retain image quality after uploading to IG. Portrait shots and medium to close range images aren't difficult. But for some reason I lose quality on the details in landscape shots.

Perhaps I´m doing something wrong here but for me the 1080x1350 (Export as) gave a hair better resolution than 2000x2500 (Save for web) using the same setting in both cases. I checked on my mobile and Mac.

QUESTION: I don't know why but the image on photoshop after color grading looks amazing, when I export it... it doesnt look as vibrant on my desktop & even worse on my iphone... its on srgb so I dont know the problem :(

Make sure under ‘Preview’: you select ‘Use Document Profile’ (in Export -> ‘Save For Web’ window). Should fix that 👍

hi great videos the quality does not degrade when I publish a photo on Instagram on the other hand if I want to make a publication with several photos the quality degrades enormously do you have any advice??? that would really help me :)

Nice! The studio shots are looking much better, the added background with depth and color look much more interesting! My initial thoughts were, his still images have SO much color and depth, but the videos have no color grade at all...! Keep up the good work!

Thanks. For years I've resized all my images in Lightroom for FB and Instagram to 2048px long side and 85% quality. They seem great as I believe the algorithm doesn't compresses due to the smaller file size. I will set up an action and droplet with your settings to compare. I don't think I have 16bit set in Camera Raw. 🤔👍🏻

Thanks Arnab! I’d recommend using Airdrop to send the photo from your computer to your phone. Otherwise just sending to your phone via email and uploading via your phone works fine 👍
