Ive been watching alot of these flight attendant tutorials from different youtube profiles and one thing I like that all of them are saying is... DON'T GIVE UP... I have applied several times in my past and finally I'm getting flown to an interview tomorrow. I can truly say even now those words speak to me...

I'm so happy for you!! I think that it really applies to anything you want in life. If you're never going to quit, life is either going to have to give you what you want or it'll have to kill you lol. But really I don't think people realize how hard it is to get on with an airline, but it's definitely worth the struggle.

It was a pretty simple set up. First they did a reach test then all of us were in a conference room as the recruiter's talked about the company, shortly after that we had a group interview where we read a small part of the safety announcements then answered a question. After that we had our one on one interview. Sadly I was not selected to proceed with the position :/ but good luck to everyone applying and I'm not giving up hope 🤗

It'sNeihla I did my F2F on monday at american. Let me give you a warning, be on your A game and don’t believe when the Director says “no one is getting CJO” cause a FEW ARE going to get a job offer. When they call you up one by one that’s when they will determine whether you got the job, if the recruiter takes you to the right, and have you take a reach test, you will most likely get the job, if you get taken to the left and walked to the front, you most likely didn’t make the cut. I was taken to the left and was told i will receive an email, but I know i will receive a TBNT

Kat, you’re seriously so helpful with all this information and honestly, you address a lot of things that I think and worry abt, and hearing you say just smile, laugh it off, and talk customer service, is such a reassurance! All that being said, I unfortunately didn’t pass the assessment test... I’m super bummed abt bc I actually felt quite good abt it. Do you have any tips, tricks, or advice on taking the assessment? Also, it was more my cover letter that I was hesitant abt... do you think it’ll hurt my chances if I don’t include it the next time around?

Hello, Kat! It would be great presentation if: 1. You would've choose a different back ground... Not your apartment picture 2. Stop touching your heir. Through interview you touch it million time). 3. You give people an advice how to be professional to get a gob, however your look and environment is not professional. 4. You demonstrating your nails... They are very pretty, however it's not should be done like this for this job...it's more for modeling job. The nails for flight attendant should be natural color and not long like yours. It's not safe for an emergency situation. 5. So many words could be out of your speech. Go to the point, but you, by all of this disturbance take away people's attention from the point they come to see your video. Please, don't be upset at me... I don't like to go around the bush, I like to go straight to the point. It's just a friendly advice from me. I am sure, if you will follow it, this video will shine like it a real professional advice for those, who have no clue how to present themselves for the face to face interview.

The required shoes she got keep slipping off her feet, not sure if you have any tips on that, she got inserts but her feet are still slipping out. I told her to get some behind the heel sticky cushion things which help shoes that are too big and also prevent blisters.

Sarah Chavez I had my roller board with me when I did one of mine because I was staying in Dallas the next day to be with my family for my birthday. When I checked in they let me put my luggage in the bag room so don’t worry about that. Obviously make sure to pack all of the required items they’ve asked you to bring, also I would bring copies of your resume printed on nice paper, and maybe even a portfolio with extra paper to take notes, and a pen. Other than that you really only need your interview outfit and basic stuff to get ready.

I just got an email to schedule my face to face with a mainline airline (much faster than expected: I literally started the application process less than two weeks ago!) and I’m officially freaking out in the best way. My question is : can overly prepare can cause me fail in my interview ? Thank you

During the waiting period, I assume you are working another job. The training is a few weeks, and isn't a guarantee you get the job. Right? So, how do you know when to quite the job you currently have? AND, how do you get time off to go to training?

Would it generally be frowned upon for men to wear a small amount of makeup? A little blemish correction and light eyebrow pencil go a long way in boosting my confidence, but I wouldn't want to set off a red flag by presenting in a way that might be a turn-off to some customers.

I just want to say that I finally started applying to airlines to be a FA. Before I didn't feel I was good enough cos I kept hearing it is so hard to get in and people apply for years but you gave me the confidence to just go for it. Your tips are so helpful and I went into my first interview for a regional airline last week and I got a CJO on my first try! Thank you so much for all of your tips and for reminding us all to practice gratitude as much as possible! I can't wait until I am able to learn and eventually apply for a mainline in year or two but this just the most beautiful opportunity. THANK YOU!

Hey Kat! First off, thank you for these videos!!! I have my face to face interview next Friday. But I’m not sure what to wear on the plane. I understand that the moment I make my way there, that’s the start of the interview in a way. Should I wear what I’m wearing at the interview? I’m wearing a suit and tie. Or Casual business? I was thinking black slacks, black short sleeve collared shirt. But again I don’t know! Thanks for all the info, girl you are a lifesaver!

  • @KatNesbitt

Most people do go ahead and wear their interview clothes on the plane so you can basically go straight to the shuttle to wherever the interview will take place. You should have some time though to change in the airport bathroom if you need to, the only thing about this is you have to make sure you didn't forget anything and hope that there is a place to put it on the plane where it won't get super wrinkled.

Oh one more question I forgot in the other comment... With my face to face interview coming up, I don't have my passport yet. I have the receipt though that its being processed. Just incase it doesn't arrive in time, do you think the receipt showing proof of processing will suffice? Only asking because I've read in different forums that once job offered, they want to make a copy of the passport. Other forums I've read say it isn't required till you get to training. Thanks in advance again.

I was amongst the first group to have been sent home, but I’m thinking it might have been because my flight was super early. It was 11:30 when I got sent to the airport and my flight was at 2:25. All of us in that first group sort of felt like we didn’t get the job because they didn’t even have us sit in the jump seat or do the reach test. It’s been a week and I haven’t heard back but I’m super duper duper nervous.

Hi there :) I interviewed back in February of this year and made it to the final step of the face to face and even did the jumpseat and reach test. At that point I felt confident I got the job but to my surprise I was sent home and eventually got the thanks but no thanks email. I hope you give it another try and reapply if it’s what you truly want, don’t give up.
