I'm retired fa. Interviewed when I was 19. I did not have what they wanted. Was not hired. I got older and matured. Recruiters hired me immediately. Recruiters are looking for certain things. Working alone, handling different situations, working with team. You must be able to handle emergencies. They are looking for "it". You have or you don't. You are born to be a fa. You will always have that helping manner, kind to others,if you see someone who needs assistance, you react automatically, and help.thats a fa.good luck

These tips are great for Anyone interviewing for Any type of customer service based career. Using names is HUGE! I had spoken with a manager wearing a name badge and walked away and then walked back to her, apologized and asked how to pronounce her name because I don't want to butcher it. She told me to come back in 3 days for an interview and I was offered the job then hired within days of my background check clearing. Asking and Using names shows your confident & personable.

Hi Kat! All very good information! I am retired now, but worked for 4 different airlines as a Flight Attendant and LOVED every minute! The interviewing process is one of the most stressful things I’ve ever gone through, doesn’t matter how many times you’ve been through it lol! But it’s also the most satisfying career I’ve had! Yep, I was a Senior Mama and truly do miss flying! I wish the best of luck to you all!!❤️🙋‍♀️

Chris: Please do remember that there are 1000s of flight attendant wannabes at the interview, in other words there are literally thousands of applicants for limited number of jobs.......you could be the finest candidate but still not get hired, they simply don't have enough vacancies! Just do you best and remember you have at the most a 50% chance of getting hired ( if you apply to a major airline). What you can do however, is to become like white on rice and keep on applying till the cows come home. Most airlines let you reapply after 6 months. Best of luck!!

I loved every minute of it even on reserve (probs bc I did not know any better). I can not wait to meet (manifesting) you!! I love that you went on about the laws of the universe and you have potty mouth.lol I never thought I would have an opportunity to fly again. I have weathered many storms as a flight attend (9-11 , pilot union threatening strike etc). I was smiling too much my face stated twitching . I have two daughters that are super excited for our new adventure. We decided where ever I would be based is our new home. I live in very small area and we are ready to spread our wings. Thank You from the bottom of my heart. You do fantastic job and was extremely helpful. Your spirit and energy is contagious. You help me with that lil extra boost that I can do it. I knew the universe was speaking to me with AA .....because my daughter's name Amelia and Alivia. I did not even try another Airline. AA is were is am meant to be. Thanks again ! Kat, your advice is great for anyone going on an interview for any job. I have interviewed applicants before and have seen some crazy stuff and wondered why they thought it was a good idea to say or look a certain way when trying to impress me to get hired.

Not a flight attendant (but love your content and secretly wish I was ☺️). Your tips go a long way to help for interviews of all types and I love each one. Especially be you to an extent! I always say there is “Work Natalie” and “Home Natalie”. I am myself at work but reserved enough to not let the weirdness shine through 🤣☺️. Unless it’s appropriate. Sometimes it’s appropriate. Sometimes. 😉😉

_One of the very best tips was something your Grandfather always said, make sure that your shoes are shined. (Damn good point). Going back almost forty-four years I remember the second interview like it was yesterday. (I also remember having a custom tailored business suit to look very professional. Interesting I was just past twenty, yet had the confidence they were looking for. Granted things have changed in four decades, like facial hair grooming standards for men). I do think you're incredibly personable Kat(Pat was so cute), and certainly leave a great impression on your passengers. At the end of the day, I say this will knowledge and experience, you are the beautiful face of your airline and what flight attendants should aspire to be._
