    Great video. I like the top cut of my wall paper to be straight and perfect. With undulating ceilings etc it never turns out perfect and can be 1-2mm short in some places, and at £100 a roll you can’t take down a strip and put up another. I found away around the problem. I carefully mask along the ceiling and paint a straight edge using a silk colour that matches the paper. I use a tester pot that doesn’t cost much. I also run a narrow vertical line of paint down where the paper joints. When I hang dark paper or murals, I have lovely straight edge along the top, and it the vertical joins part slightly, you don’t see the white wall appearing through the joins. You can’t do this in the commercial world because you wouldn’t make money, but it gives me the finish I’m happy with in my home. Of course, with your experience you probably don’t have this problem👍

    Never trim your bottoms first? If you make a rex hunt of the trimming at the top then you can slide up, you can't do that if you trim the bottom first

    Always watch your videos for top tips. Any advice on a decent primer I can use on plastic wardrobe doors. I've tried zinzer 123 which stuck down well . Until I put a top coat on and it made it all come loose 🤑🤑

    On the back of paste the wall coverings it still says in the instructions you should paste the paper and leave it to soak for 5/8 minutes

    When cutting use a 12" metal straight edge & get better straight lines, also with a dado in place use a lazer level, also cut all your lengths on table first, also don't have to paste the wall especially if you have a paste machine or just roll the paper on your table & hang immediately. Also I like to run a seam roller down the joints to lock them in place. Over all a decent job considering your not a paper hanger daily.

    Why the hell would you paste the wallpaper when its clearly a "paste the wall" product??? And far easy to install than paste the paper..30 yrs In the trade by the way !!

  • @craigcope3369

    @craigcope3369

    @@tonyrussell496 I'm also 33 years in the trade, paste the wall wallpaper is a non woven paper so it doesn't need soaking so when I hang it I pull it through my paste machine which takes 10 seconds then I hang it immediately, not had any problems this way & it's faster.

    So does it say on the paper whether to paste the wall or the paper? Different videos say you can do either. Great video

    That’s how you do it properly, start in the middle and the middle of the paper, so if you got a big pattern it’s central 👍
