Just found out the hardway. Your going to do it again unless you hit it with Jasco paint and epoxy stripper. Get as much old paint off. The paint is decaying and shrinking. You put new paint on old shrinking paint and you will get the same.

the question below mine is a good question ... i wished it was answered....i'm wondering the same thing.

I have cracked paint around the bottom of my exterior door. Can I just use sandpaper to smooth it out and paint? I'm not looking for a huge job here. Thx....

Scrape the flaking paint off and leave the rest. Use a paint/primer combo.

Remowe paint from wood. Cup brush Megaloder video. Ebay 35 $

Not an easy job, this is why they charge what they do, worth every penny and no, I'm not a painter.
