I am a complete beginner who, because I am no artist, can make repeated attempts to produce a decent little painting with no pressure and no expectation. Your tutorials are a delight to watch; perhaps I'll be abler to do some of what you are doing one day, but just watching and listening to you while you work is so peaceful. Despite not having real talent to speak of, just the attempt has been great for me. Your tutorials are at once peaceful, informative and encouraging. Thank you so much for this little island of calm and sanity amidst so much discord... Kindest regards....robert
Since I found your channel I have discovered a new world and I am fascinated with watercolours.
Paul, thank you so much for your lessons! You cannot imagine how useful and inspiring they are! And it doesn't matter that we live in different countries, I consider you my teacher in watercolour.
I enjoy these sketch tutorials more than the full projects, equipping us with the tools and skills to tackle bigger projects.
You exactly understand the problems beginners face, Great help, Thank you!
You have magical teaching skills! My Wednesdays are now a day for anticipation, excitement, laughter, learning, and wonder. All thanks to you Paul!
While you’re painting, it’s seems so simple. Thank you, i will try it all.
Wow -- a blade to put the sparkle on the water! I've never seen that. Will have to try it. Thank you!
This is what I love about watercolor: at first the paint are just blobs on a paper and then they magically transform into an image.... You are awesome Paul!
You are so very talented and personable. I think you should have your own television show. Thank you for sharing.
You are a brilliant teacher…learning sooo much from you, thank you
My seascapes are dedicated to you... tutorials really helped me a lot
I had no idea that I was going to watch 3 of your tutorials on waves, water & reflections this morning, but I'm glad I did - excellent tips and ideas for beginners and improvers. It's lovely to see your mixing palette so that I can see the water/pigment ratio which is always something that I could improve on. Brilliant tutorial - thanks Paul x
Lovely paintings. I love water, sea, river, lake, stream etc and I really want to paint it properly. So this tutorial was just what I needed. And I love the little touches of humour. ‘Orange uniforms……no, not Guantanamo Bay’. Lol. 😂
Enjoyed the brief demonstration about painting water
Hi, Paul. I somehow missed this marvelous water tutorial earlier this winter, when I was struggling mightily with the advice and examples of other watercolor artists. Now, here you are, offering us simpler, straightforward, and proven techniques to create different "looks" in water, including ROUGH water, which other artists usually avoid or fail at. Thank you so much, Chris (Maine, USA)
Paul you are like wizard xxxx thank you for sharing your amazing talent xxx
Thank you so much Paul, another great tutorial. I found the rough sea particularly interesting and effective, and the wave was amazing to watch as it took shape. Plenty to keep us going until next week !
Thank you for the wonderful, and easy to follow instruction. Much appreciated!
Beautiful, enjoyed. Look forward to next lesson.Karen, USA, NC
