There’s this amazing transformative point during the tutorial where the paint strokes and splodges disappear and it comes to life, and BOOM, you can just see waves. In awe! Fantastic 😎🤩 Found myself just shaking my head & going ‘wow’ 😎 (out loud .. to myself 🤦‍♀️😂) have to say, more importantly, they are inspiring, makes me just want to have a go! 🙏🙏🙏. Very grateful 🙏🙏☺️

I love all 3 of these, Paul, but the last one took my breath away! Absolutely gorgeous with its moody atmosphere. You're such a gifted artist. Personally I think sea scenes especially crashing waves are the hardest thing to paint 😫 but you seem to make them look really easy Paul. Once again your stage by stage process and indicative ideas as to colours etc are subliminal 😁

So hard to pick a favorite I loved all 3! Sea scapes are definitely one of my favorite things to paint! The way you blotted the paint in the second to create the wave behind the rock, I will definitely be giving that a go! The colors of the third one 🤩! I like that you showed the grey scale to help get your values, I always find that helpful. Thanks for another lovely video, now I want to take a trip to the sea shore!

Again a super lesson, great tutorial and lovely paintings! The third painting I definitely find the hardest to do. I enjoy these "theme" lessons focusing on one subject so much as it helps to study the subject and the process better (i.e. rocks, water, shadows, ...). Thank you and my best regards from Berlin 👍🤗🤩

I have switched from Faber Castell oil pencils to watercolour this year .. a challenge I set myself. THIS painting is exactly the sort of thing I want to be able to create in watercolour. This one and sunsets and sunrises .. and beaches .. maybe flowers .. landscapes, definitely landscapes .. lol

Thank you Paul, seriously breathtaking watching those 3! It’s quite magical how you put paint on paper and bring a beautifully dramatic image to life! You are truly gifted! Prussian Blue is lacking in my tiny palette so I guess I’ll need it so I can give these wonderful scenes a go.

Beautiful paintngs, clearly explained. Thank you. I am pleased to see somebody using Paynes Grey. It's not a colour that many artists like. To me it's a great substitute for black. I often use a mix of Ultra Marine blue and Burnt Umber instead of a regular pan or tube.

I love dark, moody and the rough sea so I must have a go at these (a few times).
