I honestly just don’t get it, you start off simple yet end with a sophisticated piece of art. ✨You’re simply the best ✨

Masterful.... this free loose style is perfect guidance for me as I try my hand at watercolor after painting g with oils for 10 years! Thanks for the words of wisdom like don't look for a masterpiece each time... have fun. I will keep trying.....
I'm always thankful to hear comments like "don't put pressure on yourself to paint a masterpiece every time. It's all part of the learning process." I'm hard on myself. If it isn't perfect every time, I feel like a failure. I'm only a beginner, but my expectations are too high and I can find it discouraging. BTW, I love watching you paint. It's very inspiring.
A labour of love.........giving birth to a wonderful atmospheric result. Those textures and back lighting bring new life into the old buildings tired, forgotten past. I cannot help but be drawn to those well used but weather aged doors. What lies behind?.....rusting farm machinery.....the now empty horse stable.....the straw covered floor.....and maybe, covered in a dirty, dusty sheet...an old lonely, treasured automobile. Waiting patiently, hoping one day to be discovered and once again led out so the sun's gentle rays can warm it's cold metal heart..........and dream of open roads ahead.
I came here through the recommendation of the watercolorist Jenna Rainey. I love your work and the way you teach. Thank you very much for your generosity❤️. Greetings from Chile 🇨🇱
"Relax, have fun, and don't put pressure on yourself to paint a masterpiece every time". I need to print this and hang it above my painting table. Thank you Paul.

So sorry to hear that Elena - stay positive.
Thank you…love this…have a wonderful trip..think we’ll all miss you.😎
Another WOW-Tutorial. I love those industrial paintings from Mr. Blockley. You are going to town with this wonderful painting, TFS and I hope you have a wonderful Easter :)
I think this has to be, for me,one of the accompli⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tundra pink is Potters Pink mixed with a touch of Ultramarine Blue, Tundra green is Cobalt Green and Mars Brown. Gather up a decent selection of granulating single pigments and you can mix any of the supergranulating line, the primatek line, plus an endless supply of others from your own imagination.
Lovely to be back in a new year with a fresh appetite for your inspiring tutorials.... Cheers Loris, Western Australia
Just bought a John Blockley book, “Country Landscapes in Watercolor”. It is fabulous. Thanks for introducing me to his work.
So beautiful and the music is such a compliment!
Have a great working holiday!
That was very fun to watch and now I know who John Blockley is. Gorgeous painting!

Have only recently discovered your channel and was spellbound watching you create the old barn at sunset. I love your use of pastels to create highlights and lowlights. Wonderful!

This is just so awesome! It is just how I like painting. You have taught me so much, but you may never see as I usually don't post my work. I loved your face on the herbal tea (made me laugh) as I am drinking mine now after a much needed root canal a little while ago. See who I turn to while recovering, yep, your turotials for more inspiration. Thanks again. :-)
Gorgeous!
Love this
Stunning painting once again!
Thanks again for your great art. Have a great holiday. Now for the hands.
The herbal tea face made me dam near choke in my coffee lol. I'm up before the sun and am going to attempt this today. Maybe even have the nerve to share in your FB group!! I've been a quiet viewer for a little bit and never properly thanked you, Paul. I do appreciate your KZread channel!!

Thanks Dotes - You are very welcome
I got myself the Ann Blockley book for Christmas and was so happy to see you do a painting incorporating both of their styles. More, more granulating lessons please!
Fantastic, great to watch and learn 👍🏻 thank you.
Another fun and enlightening tutorial. As you painted along, it was a joy to watch your 'intuitive' paint brush develop this gorgeous scene. (I tend to stop too soon, afraid to overdo, but need to learn when to add more detail which can so enrich the painting...still learning...always.) Thanks so much for another learning session! All the best to you and Margot.
Wonderful!! Actually, I love your painting! This is an awesome step by step tutorial. Thanks for sharing with us your knowledge. Thanks for be you.

This will definitely be a challenge - having to sketch it myself, and trying to be spontaneous with the materials I have on hand - I tend to be very regimented and paint step by step in a logical planned manner... still it looks great fun! Have a wonderful trip, I think you will be missed by a lot of us next Wednesday!
How very stunning! Gee, you are truly a magician with those brushes of yours! Love this painting and as always - love your style!!! Have a magical time at the Canary Islands - you deserve a break, but will be missed!
Very beautiful, I love the textures and the small details!! Thank you Paul !!
