What kind of paper do you use? The ones I’ve been using definitely aren’t as durable as yours, it seems to get overworked way too easily
Jackie! New subscriber here. 85 year old man, red/green "blind", but still trying to paint. Truly admire your approach to "misty". I've never tried watercolor before but I'm excited to be starting...have the basic supplies, and am so pleased to have found your tutorial. This video is an eye-opener. Thank you.

Hello Robert! I'm glad you're here and picking up watercolor. I hope you find it therapeutic to see how the paint mixes with water and does it's own thing once applied to the paper. If you haven't tried Arches cold pressed paper, I hope you give that a go, too. Thank you for leaving me a comment and spending time on my channel. Happy painting!

Very interesting technique. I've never seen anyone do that up curved stroke for fir trees. It looks very nice.
Beutiful painting. I'm just now learning how to paint and I think this will be my second painting once I finish it. I would love to see the more detailed process of a comission painting if possible. Thank you for your tutorial.
Hi There.. I am from Edmonton Alberta Canada..I am a first time water painter. I love scenery's..I also can totally feel your techniques..I paint the same way...even as a kid I wanted coloring books that had scenery's.. I used to draw cartoons and cassette covers that always blended together. Like the group Nazareth.. If you were to see one of their covers, it is a type of sunset..or surise..anywsy It flows into each other..details are added like yours. I am so glad to have found your tutorial on water coloring scenery's. Finally someone I really can learn from. I just love watching you paint without sound...after about the 15th time..lol..and found relaxation in your painting techniques. Thank you for the great tutorials, I will be watching all the others as well. Also all your new ones. 😊

Lovely painting! I'm sure you know this already, but wetting the back of your paper at the same time you wet the front will help prevent the page curling as much during the first wet on wet layer. That way, you don't have to push the center down with your finger to get the paint to move over the middle of the page, which might affect the paint.

I don't know why she doesn't tape the edges down as touching the paper so much is risky, as oils from your skin can leave fingerprint marks, plus it's just more stable for beginners' less steady hands. Ordinary matte Scotch tape is cheap and doesn't rip the paper.
I love the effect! Thanks for sharing!

Hi, Jackie. I'm really enjoying your mountains and your trees. I live on the Gulf Coast of Texas where it's pretty flat. But we spend a lot of time in Big Bend National Park. Lovely painting, soothing voice. One question: is there a reason you don't tape the edges down? Beginners might not be aware that oils from fingertips can leave stubborn fingerprints which repel pigment, and tape keeps the paper from moving, potentially getting paint on your hand as well. The added bonus is a tidy frame around the finished piece.
Wunderschön , das hast Du sehr schön gemalt :) Danke sehr fürs zeigen
