Nice painting Sam, yup very much like Devon on a good day. Devon has fewer locations to pull in off the road though as you will no doubt remember his afternoon the clouds here in Torbay is just like your painting. Nothing like this morning however. Will be getting out more as we head through spring. Thanks for the video.

Thanks Sam. It was interesting seeing you paint at right angles to your subject. I’ve never done this before but makes perfect sense when you want to keep your painting in shadow.

Thanks David, yes painting in shadow is much easier when you are painting outdoors, it reduces glare but also your colours will look better and not so dark if you paint in shadow 😀

Do you use the Golden synthetic brushes be rosemary?

Hi Duane, I mostly use bristle flats and filberts however I have also recently been using a couple of synthetic flat brushes from their 'Ivory' range. I only have a couple of these brushes but I have ordered some more so I am just waiting for them to arrive in the post. Thanks for watching 😀

Totally nightmarish and scary when you had the camera on your head, pointing down showing your face. Please, don't do this again ;) Other than that, great video and lovely painting!
