I’m sure your clients will be very happy with the painting. I like the editing that you did. Covered all the necessary steps without showing every minute detail. Some KZread videos can be painfully long - this was just right.

Susan, This is a wonderful video. I am a beginner at pen & ink with watercolor. Painted my house and friends wanted to pay me to do a house portrait for them. Good to have a professional process by a 20 year professional. Thanks so much, Carlotta Eaton

This was so we'll explained! I appreciate your solutions for common problems. Like the white panes(gel pen over black paint) , or showing the subtle line of the siding (pencil)

I find it much simpler to use a light box to transfer the image. Good tips though. Thank you.

I have a hard time seeing the image through the watercolor paper with a light box, but it would be a great way to transfer your image. I’m glad it works for you!

Hi Susan. I have been having issue with this house portrait I've been working on. The window details are a very light yellow against a red brick house. The windows look flat and I'm not sure how to approach this. Oh and my brick were too large based on the scale of the photo. I did see where you used a white gel pen, maybe I should try that too. I wish I could show you the picture I used.

I looked at your link for the gator board that you listed and it looks as if it is much thicker than the 3/16th board on Amazon. Am I seeing it wrong? Thanks!

I looked at the Amazon listing and realized that 3/16 inch is actually way too thing to use to attach a painting to. I've updated the listing for Dick Blick's 1/2 inch gatorfoam board which is much better.
