I have just painted this and absolutely loved it 😍. I am so pleased with the result - great textures and depth. Big thanks 🙏 - the colours are just fab!! I am getting better at keeping my washes light enough and separate so they don’t muddy - it does require concentration!

Your voice is very soothing and beautiful so it's an added bonus watching n learning your techniques.. I stopped painting for over 7 yrs bc I have chronic pain in my ankle from rare nerve disease caused by a fall.. Pain has been so terrible that I had surgery to implant nerve stimulator in my hip although I still take very strong pain medication daily . Watching ur painting motivated me to start painting little by little as my pain allows... Continued headache as a side effect is also hindering my ability to paint but when I can't, then I just watch you paint with piano music in the background... Thank u for your talent and effort to teach everyone!

Thank you Karen this is adorable, l painted this today and it came out lovely. Even the salt work yaaaaaaa 😊 l think l was a little heaven handed with the colour on the bluebells, but so excited by the results I’m going to give it another go. But most of all l love the faint lines for trees it came out really well and really came the effect of trees in the distance excellent effect. Thank you again Karen for sharing your talent. Wish you were in England would love you as my tutor 😊 off to make lunch then going to give it another go.

I'm keeping up - this will be this afternoon's project! Lovely colors - I have a tube of Terry Harrison pre-mixed bluebell paint - it will be perfect for this! Thank you so much for all the distractions. I belong to an on-line group of dabblers, and we have weekly and monthly challenges. I've tried to incorporate your techniques into my efforts, and they are really helping with my looseness. Make sure you are not using low salt? Also that the paint is not too wet or too dry. Sometimes it also depends on the paper. Experimenting and practice, should really help! Good luck Gill :)

Hello Karen, I just came across your channel yesterday and wow, do I love your style. I’ve looked through your videos for your personal palette, but I don’t see it anywhere, can you tell me if you have anything posted on that, and if not would you consider doing a video on that? I have many many palettes but I’m looking to come up with one that is my absolute favorite that can be used for everything. I loved the color combos you shared in the video yesterday, and would love to learn more about your favorite color combinations. Hi Karen, I've just recently found you on KZread and I love this tutorial. I loved the salt technique and then it seemed to disappear as you went along. :) This woodsy painting so reminds me of when I was a young girl and my sisters or friends would join me exploring in the woods a few feet away from our house. I didn't see bluebells, but I saw all kinds of wild flowers growing everywhere and all those trees with the sun peeking through so set the scene of what I remember growing up! I love that it wasn't quite as loose a painting because I'm not so good at doing loose. I'm going to give this one a go! Thanks so much Karen. I also wanted to say that I love how you explain what you're doing as you go along. I was wondering what I could sub for the lavender color. I have a Winsor violet and Quin purple. Would either of those work mixed in with something else? Thanks again for such a lovely memory!!!
