Many people struggle with shyness and find it hard to overcome it . It can take some effort but it's not impossible to open up and be confident . In this Skillopedia video you will learn some amazing tips and tricks to overcome shyness.
1) Accept yourself : You are who you are . The first step is acceptance . The universe wanted you to be this way . So stop resisting , accept yourself .What most people don‰’t understand is that it is impossible to be 100% perfect according to society. Everyone has insecurities; Continuously doubting yourself or thinking that you are’t capable of doing something is absolutely ridiculous.Be proud of who you are and show people you are confident.confidence is the first step to overcome shyness.
2) Find your front row : Imagine you are performing on stage and ask yourself who would you like as the front row audience. The answer will most likely be people who love and support you unconditionally and are always there for you . Identify these supportive people and work on becoming more open with them . Push yourself out of your comfort zone with these people because they are your safe zone . Over time you will gain confidence and be able to open to outsiders as well . Good friends and loving family can help you overcome shyness .
3) Stop the comparison game :When you are content to be simply yourself and don’t compare or compete, everybody will respect you.so stop constantly comparing yourself to others to the point where you are too insecure to act like yourself. So block out the noise and do the things you love, keep yourself happy , and above all respect yourself unconditionally . Truly Happy people are confident people .
4)Get out of your shell : as a shy person , I'm sure living in your shell feels very safe and comfortable but you have to get yourself out of your shell slowly and steadily .Start meeting more people , try and make new friends .Start attending public gatherings and parties that you would otherwise skip because you want to avoid people . Over time you will form a habit of talking more , socializing more and that will help you . Sticking to where your comfortable means you‰’ll never change and never overcome your shyness.
5)Perfect your posture : Your posture speaks a lot about how you feel about yourself , about how confident you are .If you slouch or show timid body language no one will take you seriously . And this can work the other way around also . If you perfect your posture ... Stand tall , straighten your spine , give good eye contact then you will not only appear confident but over time start feeling confident too .
6) Don't give up : It's not easy to change yourself for the better . You may face rejection or some discomfort or unfriendliness while trying to overcome shyness.it is OK , don't lose hope and most importantly don't give up . Keep trying and keep making effort you will get there. You can never get every single person to like you . People come with different personalities , different opinions . Just because you face rejection from a few people don't stop your efforts to overcome your shy nature .
7) Make a list : Yes that's right , make a list of things you will do to overcome shyness and stick to it . Do everything on that list and you will start feeling more confident .Start with a task that makes you feel the least nervous and slowly work up to the task that makes you feel most nervous . Do them at your own pace but make sure to push those boundaries. This activity will not only build your self-confidence but snap you out of that I can’t do it’s stage because you can!

When i first started making youtube videos i was incredibly shy, and my early videos were terrible, i hid behind a microphone all the while and i did not feel confident at all, but then i accepted who i was (i am transgender), once i did this, my confidence went through the roof, my shyness almost vanished over night, and i went from making very random videos to actually filming myself doing the thing i love the most, photography! My posture also changed, i went from an awkward looking stance to one of supreme confidence, head held high and speaking as clearly as i can (i have a cleft pallet which has given me a speech impediment). I only have like 300 subscribers but to me, that does not matter, i am not making videos for other people really, i do it for my own pleasure, and i will continue to do so even if my subscriber count goes down to just one sub! For me, making videos really helped my journey, but accepting who i am was really the one aspect that propelled my confidence to new found levels. I am not perfect, but i am me, and i am the only me there is, we are all unique and special no matter who or what we are.

Love these videos I swear you don't realize you need something sometimes until you have gone through some big experiences in your career and job. I have been through some things in the past and hearing the advice you all mentioned for the workplace is very helpful. Oftentimes were so happy to be employed and working we forget to raise our voice or be assertive in situations too. These video should be played everywhere. These should be played in college classes undergraduate and graduate for all students these are essential no one prepares you for real life in the job once you get out there and experience it. It's nice to have these tools when things may be going off track at work or in the workplace with large groups.

Shyness is an issue if believing others are better than you! I suffer from this at times and it's unnecessary as nobody is better than others! You are worthy! You are special! You are love! Believe in yourself! Do NOT compare yourself with others! Compare yourself with who you were yesterday! You are loved! Look to the people who are kind and compassionate! Love yourself because you are perfect as you are!

One little detail about comfort soze. Many will tell you to get out of your comfort soze, but that might be a bad idea. Better is to explore the borders of comfort zone and while feeling confident try to expand your comfort zone a bit. Take it step by step. Be happy for every small progression you make and don't expect miracles. Avoid fear, because the meaning of fear is to teach you what to avoid. This fear mechanism runs very deep in every living creature and cannot be changed. BUT you may be able to change what causes your fear, be slowly, and step by step convincing yourself that it is safe. Imagine a cat being afraid of some toy, but after exploring it for awhile the cat decides it's not dangours. The cat needs to take the time it needs to explore, it cannot happend any faster.

I am also a very shy guy struggling with the same problem, sometimes i can't even imagine why this happened to me and there are times i even shed tears when i couldn't do certain things.i was just doing the opposite of what you mentioned in your videos like putting myself down, compared myself with others etc..i find some of my friends doing well with their shyness without much effort but to me that never happened i just thought to myself that this is what i was born with and to make a difference this seems hard. Thanks for your video
