    I wanted to add that on this particular vehicle, and some others, the clutch master cylinder shares the same fluid as the brake master cylinder. The clutch system is self bleeding, and it is recommended to pump the clutch 200 - 300 times to bleed any air out of that system.

    Thanks! The toothpick trick helps prevent the fluid from seeping out and baking onto the caliper. Helps keep it red and prevents it from turning brown.

    Thanks for the video, Luan. I have been using the Motive for a couple years, often ending in frustration due to poor sealing at the fluid reservoir. I have the same check-valve bottle now and will be going this route from now on.

    Good technique man. I don't lift the car, do it all on the ground with tires on. (I got long alien arms and fingers that help). Then use a motive power bleeder at the reservoir, and same technique from there. RR, LF, LR, RF. Good vid keep up man!

    I’m not going to lie, that is impressive that you can do it without taking the wheels off the car. I’ve had problems with air in the lines using the Motiv bleeder in the past, so I’ve stuck to this method and never had an issue.

    Great video man! As a rule of thumb how would you divide up the three bottles of new fluid you used? First two should be used to fill as you bleed all four corners and the third used to fill to the max line at the end of the process?

    Great question! The two bottles are enough to “fill” the system if it were dry, but since I wanted to flush out all of the fluid, I used the third bottle to completely push out the old existing fluid. So, to directly answer your question, I would bleed each caliper using a half-bottle per corner, and then push out all the remaining fluid out of one caliper using the last bottle. I slightly overfill at the end and then carefully watch as the fluid drops to the “max” line. I hope that answers your question!

    Hey i came across your video today and am looking to replace the brakes and rotors on my 2019 1LE. Wondering if the Endless RF brake fluid ever gave you any ABS issues due to its viscosity? I’ve read this one is thicker and someone recommended Modulus 5.1 which was designed for ABS systems. I love watching formula 1 and see that endless sponsors the AMG team. Would love yo try out the product especially after reading reviews of improved braking performance, but wondering if it causes ABS light to go on in the 1LE.

    There is absolutely no ABS issues or ABS light issues with Endless RF-650. I would stay away from any DOT5.1 fluid as most are not rated with a high enough dry boiling point. The viscosity of brake fluid is the same regardless of manufacturer.

    Hi Luan, I am considering the Daytona Flat top jackstands for my ZL1. However am nervous about whether they can stay put one side when I lift the other side up. I would put the flat top jack stands under the ZL1 lifting pads....please advise. Would appreciate a video on how to lift the 6th Camaros properly....so many of us are quite nervous...

    This is EXACTLY how I’ve lifted my car over 200+ times over the years. Lift on one side, place flat top Jack stands on lift pads, repeat for other side. I can’t speak to the Daytona brand from HF, but the ESCO stands I use are top quality!

    Thank you! No, the ignition does NOT have to be on. It’s a hydraulic system, so there is no need for the ignition to be on or the engine running either. In fact, you want to make sure it’s all off.

    Did you bleed the first caliper inside enough. When I do mine I pump it to make sure the fresh fluid in the reservoir gets to the caliper.

    Yes, I sure did. Magic of video editing. I didn’t want to make this an extremely long video so I cut to the point. Same reason I only showed one side of the car being done, as the front caliper I showed on video is not the correct next caliper in series per the bleeding instructions.

    I’m preparing a 2017 SS2 Camaro for track days and in the owners manual and on the reservoir cap it says use dot 3.. just wanted to make sure the RF-650 is compatible?

    You definitely do not want to track your car with DOT3 fluid. Mid-2020 they updated factory fluid to DOT4. Either way, the Endless RF-650 is compatible.

    You need roughly 1.5 Liters for a full swap. The fluid is also used for the clutch master cylinder, so in order to ensure all of it is swapped, using 1.5L is recommended. 1 liter is plenty for ongoing maintenance.

    Thank you for making this video. After you lift the car and place jack stands under it on one side. Do you just jack the other side up the same way? The car doesn’t shift on the jack stands you installed first? Just trying to make sure it’s safe to do the other side the same way. Thanks

    Yes, that is exactly what I have done with nearly every car I have ever owned. Just make sure you are using the proper Jack stands and have them jacks in the appropriate place.

    amzn.to/3tlsxVo I prefer the standard height, not the short ones. The lowest and second lowest setting are great for the Camaro, and if you have other taller or higher clearance vehicles they can go pretty high.

    @@z.c.6478 this is exactly correct. Grab a universal mag lift puck while you’re at it. ZL1 Add Ons has everything you need to lift it besides the stands.

    How many quarts is a full flush? ZL1 application here. Also, consider Castrol SRF fluid over Endless.

    It’s the same for the ZL1. 1.5L, or 1500ml. Consider Endless over Castrol SRF. I switched from SRF to Endless. Far better pedal feel from Endless.

    @gbass7328 I’ve run SRF for years, and Endless for years. The “wet” rating means nothing if you are tracking the car. Both the Endless and the SRF hold up over time and the only time the wet rating comes into play is after the fluids has accumulated enough condensation to alter the fluid. Using testing strips, both fluids will last well over a year, including under heavy, heavy braking during track use. I change my fluid once a year in the spring and use test strips before and after every track event. Trust me, switch to Endless, you’ll be very happy with it.

    If it’s going down slow, or difficult, you may not have cracked the bleeder valve open enough - OR - it twisted back closed from the tube on it.

    Great question! It’s never a specific number, and it’s harder to tell in this video because I was swapping out new fluid for better fluid, so it looked relatively close to the same color. In other instances, it’s easier to tell. I’ll pump about 10 times and then check the fluid catch reservoir to see what has come out. If the color in the line attached to the brake caliper is still dark, I’ll keep pumping until the fluid is clear in the brake line and has no visible air bubbles in it.

    No, this should be done as regular maintenance. For example, I check and bleed the air out before every track day, and I change the fluid at least once per year since I track the car.

    @@SALMANDER33 one of my pinned comments is about this. The clutch reservoir is self bleeding and shares the same fluid. I typically pump the clutch about 50 times in between each caliper, to make sure that the fluid in the clutch reservoir is also impacted.

    Great question! It absolutely will. Take a look at my pinned comment. You need to pump the clutch 200-300 times to ensure there is no air in the clutch master cylinder, which is self bleeding.

    The first time you do it, probably 1.5 hours start to finish. Once you do it more frequently, you can get it done in less than an hour.

    @@FollowMyLine17 so you drain thebrake fluid container and then re fill with new brake fluid. And while one bleeder is open you get in the car and just keep pressing the brakes for a couple mins? Thanks for the help!

    You don’t want to completely drain the brake master cylinder reservoir, you want to check to make sure it’s at or around the Minimum mark and then add more. So, open brake bleeder (with one-way catch bottle attached), pump brakes 7-10 times, check reservoir, fill as needed, and repeat for each bleeder. If you drain too much fluid out without refilling you run the risk of getting air into the ABS module, which then requires an electronic ABS Module activation procedure that can only be done with a high-end scanner device, like the dealership has.

    @@FollowMyLine17 I have the stealth pads already.. so this is what I’m thinking I’m jacking from that point of zl1 add ons pad and keep jack there right and then jack stands just align with pinch weld. I’d need 8 not 4 of those points if I wanted to put the jack stand there bc I’m lifting with jack already at the lift point yk? Or I could buy like a magnetic one or one extra one whatever and just go around jacking with that and jack stands put to the lift points like u just said. Or am I’m being an idiot and over complicating it😂

    So, what are you using for a one-way check valve? Without one you would be constantly reintroducing air into the system, defeating the purpose of the one-person bleed method.

    Not without a one-way valve, it wouldn’t. When you release the brake, it pulls suction from the bottle. Without a check-valve you are reintroducing air into your brake lines and calipers.
