I just started skating and the first thing i found out is that confidence is really key. Don’t try to pretend you’re all experienced or know anything about it, just own that you’re a beginner and be honest and confident about it. If you do that you’ll not only learn way faster, you’ll also find out that most people don’t even care.

Honestly you're cute and skater boys dream of having a skater girl even if they don't tell their friends. so the only thing you should worry about is if they guys are being overly picky or mean to you they probably just all like you and are too afraid of each other and you to show it. They think how much it would hurt to be nice to you in front of the boys and get shut down by you or called a simp one of his friends so they just protect themselves by being mean. Also to make you feel inferior so you will think they are worth your time. I garentee though if you walk up to one who's by himself they will totally want to help you.

I started skating after 30. I think about 35. I saw a 60 plus year old man on a skateboard. I always wanted to learn. I am 44 now. I still skateboard. I guess more longboarding now. It is a great way to get around. Tony Hawk said on Joe Rogan, "Why walk when you can skate?"

We all have moments in our lives when we look like a beginner. . . no matter what it is, there is always the first time. It's just silly and sad that there are people who make these videos, saying "don't look like a beginner". On the contrary, be proud that you have the courage to reach for something new and derive satisfaction from it... I'm 47 years old and 15 years of BMX riding and I still want to try something new, and being a beginner is just a normal course of things in EVERY aspects of your life, and I'm proud of it

I watched this video 3 years ago when I first started skating and looking back on my first year or so skating is just awesome nostalgia

there was a kid on my campus that rode his board everywhere but never any padding. a few months ago he was riding his board to work when he ran over either a crack or a rock and was lunged forward and hit his head on the sidewalk. his brain stem detached and his family had to take him off the ventilator because he was never going to wake up. his name was logan. there is nothing wrong with padding. it can literately save your life.

I was skateboarding down a huge hill and well my skateboard started wobbling and I lunged forward and the first thing that slammed to the ground was my head. I was out cold and went to the hospital. I luckily had a helmet on and the nurse said if I hadn’t had one on, I’d crush my skull. I can’t remember anything about that day, that’s just what my mom told me. I only got a concussion, really bad black eye, and cuts all over my hands; arms; legs and face. Always wear a helmet.

@Quynn Campbell Just do what i did. Put board down. Back up 10 feet. Runn and jump on it and glide along like a pro (I can't even turn!). To be fair i can roller skate so board isnt' too scary though it is harder.

Dang man, yesterday was my first time back on a board in 6 years, I went to the skate park to get my bearings again, hung around for a hour, looked like a complete moron, went skating down town this morning and it was like I never got off the board 6 years ago. It doesn’t matter what people think it’s about what makes ya happy

@@BigV42069 my 10 yo recently has gotten into skating.. I'm almost 40, and haven't been on a skateboard (I snowboard) since my early 20s... And I really couldn't skate that well then... I don't give a fuck what I look like, we are having fun... I would rather take him to the hospital for a broken arm, than an OD.

Got gifted a skateboard along with some CD's for christmas, very excited to learn ^^

I always wanted to skate board when i was a teen but i was always scared of what people thought of me. Im 25 now and bought a cruiser today. Fell four times because of working on balance. But so far im really enjoying it. Wish i did it sooner!

Yeah I learned my lesson when I was younger. I busted my head open and had to go get stitches. I rather get made in front of than having permanent brain damage

Jason i learned my lesson because I didn’t want to put my helmet on while driving down a steep hill with my bicycle, my mom forced it on me and I ended up falling and my helmet cracked in two pieces. That could’ve been my head bruh

I’m new to the skateboarding community and just got done learning cubing, the Rubik’s cube community is great but I was surprised to see how much kindness there is in the skateboarding community

I’m a noob on a longboard that can hardly go up a sidewalk ramp,and I was worried that I’d get embarrassed by wearing a motorbike helmet(only one available) but now,I have confidence.thanks!!!

Don’t be scared to “look like a beginner” over time you’ll learn that literally no one cares! You just do you!

Yea I was at a friend of mine and I leant his skateboard his sister had a penny board she jumped because we were going pretty fast and we were going down so she jumped and then it happend the penny board just crashed under the board I was driving and blocked My wheels (I was going about 15km/h) I DID A F*CKING FRONTFLIP AND LANDED ON MY KNEE MY KNEE WAS F*CKING BLEEDING LIKE MY WHOLE KNEE WAS COVERD IN BLOOD (the worst part is this happend when I was 8 now I'm about 12 my knee was bleeding for almost 2 straight hours and u could see it almost 10 months later) well thats why I don't jump off my board and hate all the people doing it

Emme Jo, put your kicking foot up first on the board, like walking, have your other foot to pump then when you are fast enough put both feet on the board and face them to the side, but when pushing put your kicking foot facing the front. Hope this helped!🙂

Ngl but when I practiced than a week ago I smashed my board so hard into my crotch I had to lay down on the ground for a second. It was hurting like hell 😂 (I started skating like 2 weeks ago and I am still far from perfect at picking up my board. But it's getting better)

Honestly I had accomplished skate boarding I usually do it on a soft floor to a medium to a normal it really helped me and this video made me had alot of tricks I would recommend putting on amor to.
