I think this is the best demo yet, and I definitely bought the wrong tool to try and broke all 5 needles using a sponge floor mat! Thank you. I can only use one hand to do this due to a broken shoulder, but can just about crochet and now really need the poncho I’ve started.

@@rehashfiber I wonder if the join could be a bit smoother and if a foam mat would be needed for that. I've already broken all the needles in a 5 needle tool, now ordered the pen and brush mat and a claw thing. I've spent a lot for joining when I normally use a darning needle 🤣

@@rehashfiber I’m doing it, but I’d love the finished result to be smoother and maybe thinner, right now I’m aware where the joins are, a fuzzy hard block, which for the granny stitch poncho I’m making won’t matter too much. I’m wondering if a foam mat to finish would help.
