Hi Janey...thank you for the video. Me and my partner are taking this route. All your points are valid but i dont think they are feasible now in the era of covid especially since there are no visitor visas being approved. So it may be difficult to visit first

I am a nurse ,I do night shift and my husband has been helping me with the kids ,of he travels alone I will be alone with the kids and it won't be easy with night duties ,my kids are just 1 and 3,our both parents are in Nigeria and all our extended family.Can we go together?

Well, I hope you got the OWP, but your kid is enough to convince them to grant it to you I’m sure they wouldn’t want your kid to grow up under one parent

Chika, you need your study permit(to be given at POE). Also, you need an enrollment letter and a house address. I am on the same path as you. Gathering other documents pending the time I land first and then we can push hers. I hope this helps.

Thank you for helping answer the question. From what I gather, Olagbende is right, the study visa is just for entry into the country; the study permit (which is what you need) is the validation and proof of allowance for you to study in Canada

With Express entry it is easier to add both of you on the application. Declare his employment and education history, this will also help you with getting more points.

I hear You can apply same time or after. Check the Government of Canada’s website to confirm. But know that with a temp permit like the study permit, you are convincing them that you’d be leaving after school, so typically, applying with a spouse at the time of the permit may make that a harder argument

I heard something about eastbound and westbound so I’m confused and i need clarification.

No, except you are exempt. You are to apply for a study permit only if you have an admission at a point of entry.
