Hi, I did study visas for my kids. Even kids with visiting visa/records can still be enrolled in school.

Normally fall semester application is done around October to January of the previous year and you get admission about 1-2 months after application. Then you can get so many months to apply for visa

Well done Madam. I am about to apply for study permit and open work permit for my spouse. We have a daughter (who is an American by birth and has her American passport ). Below are my questions: 1. Is Spousal Open Work Permit on the new IRCC website? 2. Can I apply for Spousal Open work permit for my wife . 3. What class of visa will I apply for our 2 year old daughter? Visiting visa or study permit? 4. I and my Spouse do have a valid Canadian Visiting Visas. Hope this won’t affect my wife’s and daughter’s application? 5. My employer is my sponsor and they have issued a sponsorship letter and all supporting documentation like CAC, Bank Statement, TIN, Audited Account, Tax Clearance certificate etc. And they are ready to both sponsor myself and daughter. Will this fly? 6. Can we do our medicals ready pending the time we submit our application or wait for them to reach out to us? 7. Can I apply alone for the study permit and they come to Canadian then we apply for Spousal Open Work Permit (for my wife) and visiting visa for my daughter. Please note that my daughter is an American who does not need a visa to enter canada for less than 6 months stay… I’d expecting your response . Keep the good work going ❤

Yes, kids do medicals as well. I learnt that anyone who is planning to be in Canada for more than six 6months needs to do medicals .

Okay thanks! My kids are less than 10, will they do biometrics? Did you and your dependants get your visa / submit your passports at the same time? Was your passport approved first before they were asked to submit theirs?

My kid were 5 and 2 when we got our visas. They didn't do biometrics. I think biometrics is for older kids and adults. When you apply, IRCC will let you know who needs biometrics and they will send you a letter on your portal to indicate who needs to go for biometrics at VFS. Yes, we all received our approval the same day.

hello ma, Ademol by name in Nigeria. i just get my admission and now, I have paid my 1year institution deposit. So and it is two year program, and my school we resume by September 3 2024. So can I still proceed to visa or I should defer it till next year.

There's no rule that says you can not apply for your visa now, if you have all the documents needed.

You can apply for a visa for the child as well. Either visiting or study depending on the child's age. Although, you may need to show documents that prooves that you have full custody of the child.

You are welcome. You can't get a school until you arrive in the country. You need to bring his most recent school report and other documents, birth certificate, etc to enrol him in Canada. School is allocated based on where you live.

@mznornee You can use your own letter of acceptance and admission letter from your institution, her birth certificate, her passport details, proof of funds documents. NIN, etc. Some of her school reports, school fees receipts, to show that she was already in school in Nigeria.

You can work if you are able to find a daycare for your baby immediately. Otherwise, you have to alternate work time between you and your husband, so that one of you is available at any given time for the child. It took us 4 months to find a daycare for our 3year old. Infants might take longer, depending on the province. Everyone's experience is different. There are long waitlists as well for daycares.😊

I put my Institition name, fees, and room board, living expenses, etc. Everything I put on mine was the same for theirs. Remember, their study visa/permit.application is tied to mine.

Does he have any funds in his name even though he used being sponsored. It will be good to show some money that is attributed to him or you. As an adult, I don't think his entire funds for study should come from sponsors. It might raise a red flag. Does he have a job/salary account to show? Or a business account to also add to the funds he is going to receive from sponsors.

Yes ma he has little funds in his name like 5m plus the money his daddy wants to send to him as gifts that alone cover my and my kids POF, Yes ma,my husband is working he will show his payslips for six months, His land and landed property documents, His car documents to support him self together with his daddy and aunt supporting documents. I hope all this can help ma. Please if there is any additional documents we should add please let me know ma. In my own side I work with the state,I have my payslip, Land documents, Leave of absence from work, Tax payment fees, to support his documents . please ma what documents again to add. guide us through please ma so that we can get it ma
