Thank you so much for these modifications. I googled and you were the first trainer that really understood that modifications need to be made for people that are actually obese!!! So many workouts are designed for people that are already in shape. You have a new subscriber, thanks again.

Right! I'm just starting out on my weight lose journey and I've never done anything like this before. I have no strength and my weight certainly doesn't help. Makes me pretty discouraged a lot of the time because I can't even do the "easy" beginner stuff.

This is such a HUGE help to those of us who are trying to lose weight but are not able to do all the things that someone smaller/more fit can do!

Peanut is the best part of the video. LOL! But seriously, these are great modifications for beginners. I hate when people start off like you're an elite athlete with every "beginner" exercise. And did I mention Peanut made my day???

Right! I'm just starting out on my weight lose journey and I've never done anything like this before. So I have absolutely no strength and many many of the beginner stuff is way to hard for me. Makes me pretty discouraged a lot of the times because I can't even do the "easy" stuff. And Peanut is totally cute!

Awesome! Thank you for sharing this vid. I feel that burpees are definitely one of the hardest whole body workouts you can do. They’re awesome for that one stop shop for the whole body but very difficult and for that reason some may deter or get discouraged from doing them. It’s great to have a modified version so you can work on your ability and strength to do the original and more. Bravo! 👍🏾👍🏾

Thank you so much, having 4 kids took a toll on my back so burpees and mountain climbers do more harm than good, even when I do them slow to make sure I have good form. Also, I don't have the strongest ankles, I was told in Jr High track was out due to weak ankles and shin splints so no jumping either, I love these modifications, thank you so much!

YES!!!! Just what the doctor ordered. I am doing T25 and had to do a lot of walking in place for some of the high impact movements. I found my knees, ankles, and shins hurt after doing these high impact exercises. Thank you so much for giving a great alternative to these exercises.

Some great ideas, thanks! I modified the Insanity workout while using a walker. The burpees were not something I could do. I modified the squat jumps by doing simple knee bends, figuring it's still going to work the hamstrings and quads. I'm not sure if I can kick my legs back, even using a chair, but I'll give it a go and see what happens.

Quick question @jessicasmithtv. With all the different types of workout routines (hitt, low impact, walks, jogging, kick boxing, etc) what would you suggest we do in a time frame for a week? Like HIT mon and wens, walk/jogging on tues and thurs, strength and stride the rest of the week. Any suggestion would be great and THANKS again for all that you do.

I have an old wrist injury and I can't support my weight on my wrists with my hands at any more than about a 45 degree angle to my forearms. Is there a way to modify burpees so I don't have have a 90 degree angle between my hand and my arm? Nobody offers any modifications for that. Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks!
