Oh fuck he did my request
Biggest thing I can say, is if you have a P71 don’t waste money on a KN intake. Stick with the P71 stock airbox and a KN drop in filter. If you don’t got a P71 get a junkyard P71 intake and you’ll be alright. Many folks get the KN kit and find it throws codes and doesn’t work as well as you’d think. Other than that, you’re pretty spot on.

The K&N setup is also crazy expensive for basically a non gain over the stock box. When I had my P71 I went all in on suspension (thanks ADTR you dudes kick ass). I already had the 3.55 Tru track rear so it moved decently with just a K&N drop in, J mod and full exhaust.

Crown Vic’s are amazing fun! Definitely recommend!!!!
finally! someone who measures the world in how many crown vics he can buy. i thought i was the only one. this is the 4 door sn95/new edge. (some say fox but let’s be real). only thing that is annoying is the speed. need more speed once you do everything to it, literally everything to it. it’s the most fun you will have with 250 hp. this is fords “scat pack charger”. my biggest recommendation for the car is to do literally everything to it before looking for speed. go for gears, tune, suspension, wheels, sway bars, etc before you even touch the engine. you build and learn this boat and you will have the most fun ever.
I got an 04 town car build. If you have a panther start with the rear control arms and watts link arms and and ECU tune. Next get your gears and your coil overs. Depending on how you drive throw on the front and rear sway bars. If you are not trying to go too crazy this is a fun set up.
As European im obsessed in 200% about any gen of Crown Vic (and other american On-Frame land yachts), everyday i see only 1.0L-1.6L boring 3 or 4 banger economy shitboxes, sometimes German cars with about 3.0L 6 cyls but when i see one car with over 4 litres and rwd its just UNREAL, i dont care that they have its issues, steering is worse but... just how they look, sound and just their way to be. Amazing.

I have had every pretentious twat car there is: Audi, Saab, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Benz. The response other motorists have to a stock black mercury grand Marquis makes up for any vagueness in the rack and pinion steering, and the air suspension meant I could drive 900+ miles a day for four days and feel fine when I got to California. My Alfa 159 was fun to drive, and the Saabs were great too. The Grand Marquis is a pleasure to ride in and watch the miles go by. The fact that everyone around you subconsciously checks themselves and gets out of your way makes it an easy car to drive.
I loved my crown Vic when we had them as patrol cars . I had 2011 4.6 l that thing was mean lol for back then . My exploder is faster and handles better but God do I miss hearing that 4.6 whine up and haul when I kicked my blues on lmao
People that drive these cars and want to modify them, want people to not talk too much about them because then they'll get expensive but at the same time we want more aftermarket support.

Bought my p71 at 197k miles for 2k, still runs like a dream
I daily a 93 crown vic. I am the second owner. First was my dad. I learned how to drive in that car 29 years ago. And currently, I'm teaching my kid how to drive in the car. It is one of my most prized possessions.
I will personally always love my 2005 P71. She may be almost 20 years old but she still roars like shes fresh off the assembly line
I can appreciate this guy's efforts to sell K&N intakes and Magnaflow exhausts on his website, hey he does have a business to run. But those are two of the worst wastes of money for your P71/P7B Crown Vic. The factory police package induction and exhaust flows about as well or better than any N/A 2-valve 4.6 will ever need, especially without a tune. In fact, the factory cold air intake system flows exceptionally well. It was developed alongside the Mercury Marauder. A K&N won't help you, and the oil from the filter will give you MAF issues. Skip. Anybody who really cares to know these cars knows rear end gears (swap to 3.73 or 4.10), a basic Ford limited slip (if your car didn't already come with one) and a Marty Ochs (Mo's Speed Shop) tune (via SCT X4 tuner) are the only mods worth any money. You can do both for under $1500 and have a substantially faster and improved car. Next, if you must spend more money, consider suspension work - and this can be as simple as replacing OEM control arms and bushings. Maybe get a beefy ADTR rear swaybar. If you wanna drop it, get the Ridetech coilover kit. If you really want to earn your stripes, go for the 5-speed swap - it's relatively easy and my sweet Lord combined with the above mods, you'll never have more fun in a Crown Vic. Boom...you're done modifying your Crown Vic. It'll never be any better, unless you step into the relm of forced induction which let's be honest, only 1% of us will do. Ported intake plenums, throttle body spacers, CAI and exhausts (including headers) are all wasted money. The Panther 2-valve sucks and blows more air than it needs just the way Ford built it. The only exception would be on NON-POLICE package (grandma) cars or cars older than 2003, where an improved CAI and dual exhaust would actually really help. And let me end by saying that Cleetus MacFarland is a dumbass and anyone who loves P71/P7B Crown Vics feels (or should feel) the same way.

Stock coil overs usually just need new boots, the wire hardens. Replace baskets inside the injectors change spark plugs, 500,000 w 2,5000-3,500 oil/filter service no problem. Mustang Sedan on an F-150 frame. Zip tie on the throttle cable is worth the 1 penny it costs. PVC pipe replacing intake muffler is worth the effort. avoid the other stuff enjoy the ride. Cup hollders are truly of the Devil himself.

2006 crown Vic. Inspected and emission stickers and a daily driver. Everything is 20 years old and being in the rust belt isn’t fun. Pb blaster knows this car well. Slowly replacing stuff. Alternator is now 200 amp ..all suspension replaced…true duel exhaust no x pipe with rear cat delete and cold air intake along with high flow water pump and fuel filter..rear shocks and she stops on slotted and vented rotors but I’ve only owned for two years. Still working out all the bugs
8:16 being an owner of a panther platform car, my tip is buy one that’s 03 or newer. They’re a lot easier to get aftermarket parts and wheels for.
This is the content we are all here for lol
I bought a 2007 or 2008 (dont even remember at this point) P71 like a decade ago for $3.5k. It needed a turn signal bulb, a windshield wiper motor, and a window switch. Been going ever since.
Panther platform cars are absolutely addictive, incredible chassis and mod motors have tons of potential, even while na. Talk to chris from ADTR for parts and Marty from Mo's speed shop for all your tuning needs
2:00 nice TOO APREE reference. very chill.
K&N intake throws the mass airflow sensor. Do you get around this by using the dry filter option?
Manual swap it! Mustang trans bolts right up to the motor, you can literally do it in a weekend and I did the whole swap for under 1000$. Now I'm doing 4.6 4V swap to go with the new manuel!
Oh my goodness this dude spazzed dafuq out on this one! 😅😂!
I got a 07 I’m debating on what to do with it but i might build it o do recommend taking it to a shop if you tint it tried to tint it by myself with friends and it didn’t work out all that well
The crown Victoria is iconic
I bought one for the specific reason to Pro charge it and bag it.. keeping a look super clean but stock and having custom made rims that look like the stock black cop rims with the silver hubcap but in 20’. Going to do tons of other things can’t list them all I don’t care about the price of a car versus what I’m planning on putting into it that’s how most builds go anyways the parts and labor/time are almost always worth more than the car itself and plus I’ve always wanted one.
I Love My Vic

Affordable at auctions, hopefully powerful enough to pull my 5,000 lb camper on the highway, and sure to get fast lane hogs to jump in the right lane. Oversized alternator and a large trunk will nicely accommodate a pair or two of 12' subwoofers and a large amp to drive them.
I love the fact that more people are liking Crown Vics. I hate that fact also. Yes to make them “fast” takes a lot of cash if modifying the 4.6 2v. Don’t swap in a LS. You bought a Ford.

If its a patrol P71, your probably gonna be chasing wire gremlins for days..look for a detective or sergeant p71..remove the pushbar tho as it makes you look like a jackass and adds weight to the front end..
If you have a P71, the K&N intake is the worst thing you can do. It's designed for the 70mm MAF civilian model, not the 80mm MAF P71. Replacing the exhaust on a stock P71 is a waste of money and just make the car louder not faster. If you really want more performance, it's going to cost money, and a lot of it.
