I was debating whether or not if I should buy kh3 on PC due to me already owning it on ps4, but now I think i'll buy it just because of all of the crazy mods you can have installed while playing.

100% worth it, Been using mods since the game released on PC. Friend and I are currently doing a Randomized Co-Op and he got it for PC just for Randomized runs. Mods Totally change the experience

Yeah, the mods really made the a lot better not to mention you can fake your own scenario & pretend to fight the organization boss of the Disney worlds. The best part of the mods are Sora modifiers that got a juicy upgrade making his combat even better then the 1.09 patch. So yeah you will not regret getting the PC port.

I mean, two of those are in the DLC so they did eventually get added, though the FF characters did not include Sephiroth and Cloud which is sad, and there's no colosseum in vanilla, other than that tho, Scala became explorable and some FF characters did eventually appear

@@Micolashcage1 you can actually walk around Merlin's house and talk to the FF characters and I do agree explorable Scala and the FF characters should be base game, I'm just glad the DLC wasn't JUST that, and there was actual new content like the data fights, Yozora, finding the pieces of Kairi, Oathkeeper and oblivion, actual story bits explaining what happened to Sora, the usual, EZ, or Pro codes options, a lot of stuff that was added with explorable Scala and FF characters, while yes they were mainly cutscene and ambient characters, the only FIVE characters that actually did stuff aside from cutscenes (story wise, I am NOT counting the arena fights that aren't story related) were Cloud, Sephiroth, Auron, Zach and Leon, and with each of them it was literally a single story based fight, except for Auron that is cause he was a party member but even then it was only a single world in the entire game, so tbf FF characters don't really do very much story wise, the only game they were truly important in was KH1 where Cid was the entire reason Sora Donald and Goofy could even get to Hollow Bastion, but the rest of the games they've usually been stuck to one world, in KH2 the only reason a FF character in lore was outside of one world was because it was the underworld, and Auron is dead, which why he was there, other than that they were stuck to one world, even Sephiroth in KH2 is in Radiant Garden, Auron was the only exception, so yeah FF characters aren't really THAT important outside of KH1

If you want to play as roxas and Kairi using the mod menu I also recommend downloading the mod that gives them revenge value. It helps a lot during data battles

Yk im happy with Sora but I'm happy other people get to play with theire favorites

if there’s one thing i want for the next kh game, definitely character switching should be one of them and being able to pick which disney companions you want to have accompanying you rather than only having them in their certain worlds

I really wish they would let use use other characters in KH3 on consoles. I would literally replay they entire game as Roxas and Kairi. Really hoping the 20th anniversary will announce that as like DLC, and maybe being able to upgrade to a PS5 version. That’s my dream

Yeah I agree mods for consoles in general especially kh3 would change the game entirely. Wouldn’t hold your breath though since the dlc for kh3 is done with square even said they don’t plan to make more unfortunately

Man I wish there was a more solid Kairi or Roxas focused game in the future. Although it doesn't seem like the twilight town gang has any real good reason to venture off atm compared to Sora's gang.

Square should do what Skyrim did for console and add a mod hub for KH3

For a while I had thought the mod was non functional but that simply move forward part really needs to be emphasized IMO🤣

When I get a pc I'm definitely doing kh mods

The most flushed out playable character mods I have played so far is project equinox and project Ventus they are both great

You should give a try to Kurasa25's "Fully playable Terra" mod! It's of the same level of quality and they're still adding more to it. It was a very nice surprise for me.

It might be time to pick up KH3 on PC. I've been trying to do this with KH2 for years, but KH2 modding and PS2 emulation are super duper glitchy. So depending on how good these mods are, I'll pick up KH3 for PC.

I have the Vanitas mod that changes Sora into Vanitas and even changes the HUD and title screen to Vanitas too

I'm happy to see these playable mods exist. And I have tried them myself and they are great to use! But it still bothers me that this isn't in the actually game. Especially considering Nomura said years ago, that Sora wasn't going to be the only playable character in KH3. Well, he was SORT OF right. But I was talking about playing as the other characters freely and roam the worlds as other characters and such. This mod is EXACTLY what I'm asking for! Nomura should really take ideas from the community. He does say he does watch KZread videos and watching the communities. And if he really is, he's not doing a very good on taking these ideas 😒

I would have been happy if I was able to play as whatever characters I want when fighting the data organization 13 battles! Imagine fighting data organization 13 using whatever character you want . Riku Yozora Roxas Aqua Terra etc

I’ve tried putting Project Equinox (then tried Embrace after putting Equinox away in another folder.) into the ~mods folder I put in and it doesn’t make Riku appear, Sora still is there. Is the file unzipped by default or does it need to be unzipped? Do I need that Simba mod to work? What if the Logic Mods folder? Is that required to be made? Edit: Nevermind, sorted.

You can do save wizard type stuff but modding of this caliber I haven’t seen on any ps4/5 ever. On the ps3 it was possible and maybe a jailbroken ps4 but a normal I doubt severely

Wish there were mods for different characters on other kingdom hearts games :(

off topic but this game needs a steam release. epic game store made me lose all the save data when I had to reinstall windows, dont understand how hard it is to have your cloud service to work.

Its pretty stupid to get dlc to actually play as different characters but only in specific parts meanwhile birth by sleep let's us play 3 characters that are unique to each other

Since the base game of KH3 was nothing but a massive disappointment, I’ll get it again on steam (already own it on ps4) - give it a negative review and play with mods exclusively. We NEVER got to choose the character we wanna play as. There’s sick ass designs and we always gotta stick with goody two shoes ordinary dull boy sora. Nah, miss me with that shit I wanna be vanitas Also we paid 30$ to play as different characters in the DLC…for *O N E F U C K I N G F I G H T* ??? Fuck you Nomura that’s wasted time for the devs AND for me? Gimme something of substance instead like an arena? Oh got it, wanna be greedy again and just recycle 80% of the late game to sell as DLC, got it.
