An easy question. Cause they couldn't fit the content in the PS2 version which is why the Final mix version came.

I feel that everyone forgets the key chain is what changes key blade (at last originally) lady luck is very odd that it was just so out of the way compared to others grand chef is Crazy to reach

Yeah a lot of people do tend to forget that, so I felt the need to bring it up at the start! it is weird how difficult it is to get lady luck considering Deep jungle just gives it's keychain to you at the end, and by the time you can get lady luck it's not nearly as good as divine rose or oathkeeper

@@KeyofTime15 but you can get Keyblade after the first Riku fight in Hollow Bastion and regain Donald and Goofy. It has 7 strength and a +2 to MP so the one above it is Olympia which gives better strength but no Magic. It's a solid choice for a magic user at that point in the game.

@@uraninezak It is worth noting that Olympia has better "unwritten" stats, possessing a boost to critical damage and incredibly high recoil giving it a very fast recovery from its attacks bouncing off or being parried.

I can't help but imagine Sora preparing for a boss fight, going through a bag of keychains and trying to untangle them, while Donald just taps his foot impatiently and rolls his eyes, and Goofy just...stares off into space. Then Sora has to fiddle with changing the keychain for a few minutes trying to take the old one off and put the new one on.

Yes in lore as a Keyblade Wielder travels to other worlds and experience other people; the Keychains reflect the connection, transforming the Keyblade to other Keyblades

Ah Lady luck and Spellbinder! I can see how they are more obscure amongst people who play through KH1 since you have to go out of your way for them. It's quite funny to me since I saw both of them as essential keyblades for me to use when beating KH1 for my very first time due to being on lv1 for the whole thing, magic was essential to my survival! Otherwise I never even knew about the casual gear from 358 even though I grew up on that one.

The way you explained how different keyblades work at the start really makes sense. For the longest time when I played KH as a kid, I always wondered how tf does Sora have so much space to keep so many gigantic keys with him lmao. Would've been neat if the game actually gave us an explanation on them being keychains and how they work. Like giving us a short cutscene where Sora attaches the first ever keychain he unlocks (I think it was Lady Luck from Wonderland) wondering what it is and it magically transforms his Kingdom Key, surprising them all. That being said, not all keyblades are keychains, but I think we can agree that a vast majority of them are. Oblivion and Oathkeeper both can be keychains as Sora finds Oblivion in a chest and Oathkeeper is given to him by Kairi via her good luck charm. As for how Roxas may get them both, he could attach the Oblivion keychain to his Kingdom Key, and the Oathkeeper to Xion's Kingdom Key, as he doesn't get the ability to dual wield until after Xion's death in Days.

Glad you enjoyed my explanation! I was really surprised by the amount of people who didn't know, but I'm happy I included that part in now I do also like your idea of implementing a cutscene that would play when Sora attaches a different keychain to see what it does

So a lot of these keublades I got first run through, like Victory Line cuz I genuinely love the races and decided to complete that first. Victory Line has REALLY LING REACH and pretty decent magic and especially damage I believe.

Sweetstack is also pretty good in that aspect too. But the way you get it is a pain in the neck. Sometimes the Prize Pods don't even drop the right ingredients. Also, I heavily recommend Treasure Magnet for those guys. I think the trophy for getting all flavors of ice cream (not just for one, that includes every character) is called The Paîtissïer. I honestly never knew about Sweetstack.

Same here. Sweetstack was foreign to me, same with Grand Chef. I think the three hardest Keyblades I've ever gotten were Divewing, Sweetstack and Rumbling Rose.

Spellbinder and Lady Luck are severely overpowered in their damage and severely underappreciated. I heavily used both. Spellbinder first, and then Lady Luck when i got it. The magic damage increase is phenomenal and it increases Max MP and Summon Power as well. I used OathKeeper out of obligation for a tiny bit, but then back to those. The little lady helping you in the videos is adorable, like the little sister I never had but always want... Nope never wanted one. But glad she's a part of the channel.

I think #5 would be better as either Divewing, Unbound, or End of Pain. DDD's Ultima Weapon is obvious by comparison because entering the Fountain Plaza post-game triggers the cutscene that leads to the Julius fight.

I would say the easiest Ultima Weapon (comparatively speaking) is the Chain of Memories one, as all you need to do is beat Sora's story and then open a chest in Castle Oblivion.

Classic Tone isn’t difficult to get but it can certainly get boring. Hearing all those clicks and beeps… I did a lot of my mini games in one sitting. Doing them as soon as I had gotten them might have felt like a break in the game’s flow. But it has a good magic stat and a cool transformation. I think I need to experiment with it in fights. Spellbinder is easy to get and the extra MP is great. One of my favorite Keyblades in the series. Here’s another out of the way Keychain: Sweet Dreams from Dream Drop Distance. It requires you to clear the final match Secret Cup in the Flick Rush minigame. You can unlock and beat these fights easily if you know how to cheese them. Sweet Dreams has great strength and crit, but it’s not my favorite Keyblade in this game. If you don’t do the Mirage Arena tournaments, you might miss out on Darkgnaw for Terra. It is has good strength, and it ties in with his connection to the darkness.

quick correction with classic tone You only need to get at least one point in each minigame to get the weapon didn't feel like wasting my time with them and so I was glad

On your point about how in BBS Fruitball doesn't have its own keyblade, I personally saw it differently, with each minigame having its own special reward. Finish line was the reward for winning the final race, Fruitball gives you a new shotlock (i think it was chaos snake), and the ice cream game gives you the Frozen Fortune command style. Sweetstack can't be obtained on your first visit and is a separate completion bonus in my view.

Unbound and Divewing (Both from DDD) are rather obscure too, for Unbound, you need to do all Secret Portals while for Divewing, you need to A-rank all Dive sessions

The thing that sucks about the DDD Ultima Weapon is that it's completely useless. Why? Because the boss fight you need to beat to unlock it (Julius) is that it's only available after you've beaten the game. What's the purpose of getting the best keyblade when you need to beat the main game AND the secret boss to get it!? It makes no sense.

I feel like the most annoying Keyblade to get is Royal Radiance from BBS. That takes dedication for the Mirage Arena TO THE EXTREME. You have to play the lame Command Board game, Rumble Racing AND the Arena Challenges themselves in order to get Rank 30 - and not just that, but ALL the Medal Challenges as well. Plus, the Boss himself (No Heart X) is a PAIN IN THE ASS! My recommendation is pack Mines & Thunder Surge, a Curaga and Esuna in case you get binded or accelerated by his Movement Wall. I've successfully done "Peering Into Darkness" in a personal record of 3 minutes and 30 seconds with enough practice. Also, when it comes to Shotlocks - for Aqua, use Bubble Blaster instead of Lightbloom; that works as a VERY EFFECTIVE stunlock. Ven can use Flame Salvo - works the same as Aqua's Bubble Blaster. And for Terra, either Dark Volley or Ultima Cannon will do. But when it comes to their Action Commands, that's where it's tricky. Aqua CANNOT have Firewheel or Ice Slide equipped nor Teleport - those are easy ways to kill yourself. Ven needs to have Reversal Slide & Slash off along with Thunder Roll disabled. And Terra's only weaknesses are Payback Fang and Sonic Impact (though, if you've trained hard enough, you can EXTEND the i-frames of SI with a properly timed Thunder Surge). As far as everything else goes, the rest should be explanatory.

Lady Luck is great for the dragon maleficent fight. I believe it had more strength in the original than in 1.5 though. I always pick up spellbinder before Atlantica; people who complain about atlantica aren’t using enough magic. Also we need a days remake.

Only 1 of them I never found, and most of the other ones I already have or know about but didn’t bother to get them. The ones I didn’t know about Classic Tone.

The Spellbinder 2:08 can be unlocked at least at the end of Monstro, good for Atlantica for dealing with the sea based combat.

I discovered Lady Luck & Spellbinder through pure accident on my first playthrough cause I'm one of those guys who likes to look through ever nook & cranny and achievement hunt on my first playthoughs of any game (RPG's & JRPG's especially.) So for Lady Luck after I beat Riku the first time and got that white trinity and found my way to the library save point & remembered that every world we've been to up to that point had a White Trinity. I worked my way backwards from Hollow Bastion throughout the world's and whenever I got to Wonderland lo and behold a keyblade that had the same magic stat as Spellbinder, but with a significant damage buff.

I always knew about julius in the og DDD since well I encountered him by accident and he was blocking my way in traverse down so I had to fight em, didnt know about balloon spam back then though.

Kingdom Hearts was probably my favourite game growing up. I still play the first game on occasion and yes, I had the game guide. Which means that I did indeed get everything I could. The one thing I haven't tried since I was a kid, though is fighting sephiroth. I'm sure I would still have almost no chance at success, though.

00:15 Also in KH1 when Sora obtains his first Keychain, which will always be Jungle King from the mandatory Tarzan world, there is a very short Narration Box that the player has no choice but to click through that's sole purpose is to explicitly inform them of this exact bit of lore and how to do so in the menu.

The two bistro things I don’t like are the flambé and egg crack foods cause it’s always so difficult to get an excellent rating for those one

I'm always astounded how people can't even get the information correct and use some other example as to why it should be known. The game straight up tells you when you get your first new Keyblade "Btw these are actually Keychains that change your Keyblade". Saying it's because of Oathkeepeer is just simply not true as the game directly says it to the player way earlier plus it's at the near end of the game which is would be a very awkward time to explain that concept. Which is honestly pretty insulting as it assumes that players didn't read that tutorial box.

No need to mention Ultima Weapon ++ on Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix that ONLY using some code to get more material tom syntetize another Ultima Weapon but, with a sigthly power boost. This one, have a little more damage and magic, but quitle same effects as Ultima Weapon, but instead of blue color, is red. (And yes, this on is on Kingdom Hearts Final Mix as well, but i don't remember seeing this on 1.5 and 2.5 remakes, and don't know about the 3 or filler games, like 358/2 Days as well).

I actually missed Oblivion on my first playthrough of KH1. Unless you know where to look, you end up skipping right past it and have to go back to the Princess of Light Keyhole room after you beat the Behemoth

This is a bit random, but disney made some very well made cartoons and if they had worlds of there own or shared worlds they could be interesting. For example lilo and stitch had a crossover episode with kim possible. American dragon Jake long was a really good show up until the art style changed. Phineas and ferb world might be a bit much but could be interesting. The worlds I mentioned have alot of opportunity for interactions, creativity of monsters areas and possible more.

Unless you revisited Traverse Town in DDD then it wouldn’t surprise me if you didn’t know about the Julius fight. It caught me off guard though the first time I encountered him though. So random and I definitely was not ready lmao

I'm a little disappointed that Metal Chocobo from Re:Coded isn't on the list. While it does change the battles in Olympus Colosseum to a final fantasy-ish turn based fight, it just isn't worth it. In order to get Metal Chocobo you need to break a prize blox in the 30 layer variant of the Colosseum, specifically one on layer 27. And in order to do THAT, you need to beat the 5-layer version of it on your first visit, and the 15 layer version on an episode replay.

It's criminal how we never got to witness a single cutscene where Sora, Roxas, Riku... anyone who wields a keyblade, swaps out keychains. Then we get to see the transformation.

i think the only one of these i actually have is grand chef, and that's just because i absolutely adore cooking mini-games. ... though now i'm wondering what a fruitball keyblade would look like. that was my favorite thing to do in disney town.

Lady luck is like the most awful instance of this, I love its design, but by the time you get it it's already pretty iffy, and then five minutes later you have oblivion and oath keeper and it's just instantly junked.

Yo I did not know about any of these keyblades except the racing one. That was only cause I like racing games. Other than that, I always thought the ice cream and recipe ingredients were just neat little gimmicks for side fun. Also I didn't know there was an Ultima in Dream Drop. I got reasons to replay again. I want the ice cream key blade and the frying pan.

this is only a thing in kh1 because kh2 you get 2 keyblades and in kh3 you learn a keyblade can break so its not actually the keychain that makes it the keyblade its a weird concept that doesnt stay consistant in every game

To clarify, - You have to earn an Excellent rating on each main menu recipe to get Grand Chef. - Classic Tone I got from playing the games to complete one level. Any game with lives you can start, run out of lives, leave the game, and you’ll receive the Lucky Emblem on the game.

These are some based picks Ngl. But honestly, the most egregious one is Re:Coded Ultima. With most of the other keyblades, aside from the KH3 ones… They either encourage Exploration, via abilities, or they encourage that you go fight something.

Victory Line is what happens when people are like “wait… there’s more?” And Sweet Stack is victim to a 100% ice cream issue, due to the last ice cream slamming itself firmly into Level 20 or so Mirage Arena. I think it might be Level 18 but I just don’t care, because it’s not worth getting as Terra, Ven, OR AQUA… Literally, why bother when you could just… do all the missions, wind up at level 25 and snag Ultima, and worry about the Secret bosses then?

Ahaha.. completely forgotten that the keychain was what changed the keyblade The only one that does make sense on this list to me is the 358/2 days joke weapons. Every other one here seems like priori knowledge. Especially the Ultima weapon. But you didn’t know that one so it’s fair game

Yeah I tried to make it so it was a list of Keyblades that people tend to not go out of their way to get or just didn't know about so it's came out as a weird mix of the two Thank you for checking out the video!

Actually you don’t need to do good at all on the classic minigames to get the trophy or the keyblade. All you need is a high score which makes it even easier😂

I always felt they were more the chains than the actual sword? Was this retconned or just written off as individual blades?

I don't believe it was ever retconned but it also hasn't really been properly addressed. Someone else in the comments said that they should have shown a cutscene of Sora attaching a new keychain to transform the keyblade and now I really want that

So far, out of the Kingdom Hearts games I've played (Birth By Sleep, KH1, Chain of Memories, 300-something over 2 Days, Re: Coded, and KH2), there is only ONE Key Blade that I have not managed to get... That would be the No-Name in Birth By Sleep, obtainable for Ventus, Aqua, and Terra by defeating the "Mysterious Figure" at Land of Departure. No matter how many times I tried, I just couldn't win with ANY of the three characters!

Checked out some videos. Looks like it'll work wonders for Aqua and Vent! But it seems Terra might not have that advantage. I'll keep looking though, and thanks for the tip!

I brute-forced it on Terra's part, honestly. One try I did was I ran through it normally, NO Sonic Impact and plenty of Thunder Surges, and he didn't do the Doom Link ONCE. I wish I recorded it, because that crap took me 20 tries! On Aqua or Ven, that was an easy one and done.
