Thanks for the video, incredibly helpful! For anyone who doesn't have the icon at the top of your macbook screen then you may need to go to display settings and click samsung tv from the drop down menu - that's what worked for me

Well presented Juan. Just a quick note. My Mackbook Pro is a 2015 model and doesn't have the built-in feature to connect. My Samsung Smart TV a 2019 model and has the applications ready for the 'mirror' connection. I believe there is an APP to purchase for the Macbook to allow this 'mirror' function. It would be great if you could produce a video for this scenario.

Click speaker icon and click output and select the TV. Make sure it's on same internet network. Need latest OS.

Which of the samsung smart tv models do have the compatibility for apple air play settings? Is there anywhere were i can read the list of compatible tv models? I ask this because i dont have the menu that you have and dont have apple settings but i heard these smart tv’s are possible to be updated. So wonder weather if i will have the same menu and air play option if do update my tv software/ os or not. if it worth the hassle… cuz if i wont get this menu & option then not to bother with update Please let me know🙏🏻

I wish screen mirroring would support 4k :( mine is limited to 1080p on a brand new 4K Samsung Smart TV and 2021 16" MacBook Pro.

Thank you for the video! My Airplay icon on my Mac shows "looking for apple TV" and won't show my Samsung TV! I've gone into my Mac settings for this and have tried to figure it out, but I'm getting nowhere. I have a Macbook Pro Sierra and I've restarted it as you suggested to others with my problem and I have a Smart Samsung TV with the airplay setting on and I just updated it as well, yet I'm still having this problem! I need to use my Mac for this not my iPhone by the way! Can you help!?

Same case with me, still figure out how to solve his issue.. my macbook doesn't detect my SAMSUNG Q70 SMART TV.. The airplay icon also won't show up, even once it shows up, the airplay still doesn't detect my TV

Juan; Would you please comment on this senario : I have a I-MAC PRO soupped up for video post production. My Samsung FRAME 52" is my 4th Monitor and clients love the "big picture" etc. But, the FRAME 52" always hiccups and fiddles trying to get in sync w/ the computer. I have not been able to pinpoint a procedure to get the image on the FRAME 52" stable immediately. ( When it get's synced/stable it stays there just fine. But getting it there has been alot of trial and error.) There are 2 ASSUS 28" HDMI and then the FRAME running at HDMI. The 2 ASUS run on a OWC Thunderbolt3 to 2-HDMI PORT. The Samung FRAME 52" runs out of a mini HDMI to the FRAME... Is there a little BOX I could get to stabilize the HDMI signal to the Frame or are there settings in the FRAME I may be oblivious to that need to be set correctly? Thanks in advance, Ken in Dallas.

Hmm that's a tough one Ken. My recommendation which would be to change the cables and make sure you are not buying "cheap" cables. Sometimes a simple change such as that will fix the problem

Staying in a hotel and the hotel IT staff came in for half hr trying to do it. I found this video and did it straightaway. Thanks!!!

Suggestion instead of using the term "mirroring" I think you should of second Second Screen. Since one has to go into Preferences and uncheck mirrowing and alow one to for example work on laptop, while on the second screen work on music production or video editing. Please say I am wrong or confused. Thanks

Thanks, this helped me tremendously. Just one thing, the drop-down menu with the TV and little triangle did not have the device connecting option. I found it in the drop-down menu with two overlapped rectangles.However, from there his instructions got me there. Probably depends on the model

I have a Samsung TV Q90 and airplay works with my iPhone. Instead, from my macbook air 2015, it looks for an apple tv, but does not show my TV as and option. Is my mac os too old for this function? I have a os Sierra. Which os does your mac have on this video?

Which explains why I am unable to mirror wirelessly, unless I have an Apple TV dongle device, because my TV is older before Samsung/Apple 🍏🍎 came to an airplay built-in directly agreement into Samsung Smart TV most recently. Appreciated 👍

I can't get this to work on Monterey. Do you know if it works for you? I can screen mirror from my iPhone to the TV no problem, but not from the Mac. The TV doesn't show up in my list. (Tv is a 2021 model)

Thanks for watching! The iMac models you can useas a display are iMac (27-inch, Late 2009), iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010), iMac (Mid 2011-Mid 2014) Make sure yours is on that list. Make sure you are using Apple OEM cables like these - Get a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter Here - amzn.to/2Rxm6MV Get an Apple Thunderbolt Cable Here - amzn.to/33WvI6i One trick is to restart your iMac before doing the steps. Also, Check this link to see if it helps with your troubleshooting - support.apple.com/en-us/HT204592 Important note from Apple: It does not work with macOS Mojave or later - support.apple.com/en-us/HT204592 Lastly, if nothing else works, call Apple here (800) 442-4000 to see if they can walk you through the process. Hope this helps.

Very good instructional video - thank you! Once my MacBook Pro and Samsung Smart TV Series 6 are connected and successfully mirroring, I am able to view a land site via a Reolink camera system (viewing only), however, it is a small picture (plus gray borders containing Reolink wording). When I press "fullscreen" on my Mac, the screen on my Mac and Samsung Series 6 "goes" a white full screen. Please help with suggestions? Thank you. Jean

Hey Jean, thanks for the kind comments and for watching the video. Try doing a hard shut down on both devices and doing it again. Sometimes it takes a fresh reset to fix little issues.
