I’ve watched many painting demonstrations on KZread and this is possibly the best one I’ve seen. The painting is stunning and looks effortless although I know better. However I will still give it a try.

Thanks so much 😊 Good luck 👍
This short videos was very educational. Thank you, Robert. In addition to making the effective light in the sky, I especially liked your method of making the reflections in the water, and the purposeful dropping of water to make the beautiful blooms on the dark trees on the left. Just beautiful!

It is amazing and simple to paint - so it looks at first - however you have a great talent ,knowledge of colours and what the water can create . Just watching you paint is educational and beautiful. Thank you . Now I might try to follow you paint in this video and see what comes on paper when I do it. Hope it will not be to frustrating but it is worth trying . Will have to watch this video multiple times for sure. Again thank you. 0:14

Wow you make it look so easy??? It's hard for me to see the painting finished before I paint. I think I lack the vision?? Love your painting and how you paint 🎨. Thank you 😊.

Yes, it is not easy to see the finished painting. A thumbnail sketch can help. Good luck with your watercolours.
All the questions I've had about watercolour...you answer as you're painting 😊. And saying the simple things that are so important that I've overlooked...thank you so much. Beautiful painting☀️full of light.

So beautiful. I have to confess it would be challenging for me to do all that you did all in one go. Hard for me as a viewer to determine how fast your paper is drying vs still damp and how that allows you to keep adding more details such as the bg, trees and reflections. Lovely end result.

If I follow your brush strokes and use similar colors, mine would turn out to be a murky mess. The more I practice the more I admire watercolorists like you who can master this medium. I am so used to see everything 3D but to paint well the visual is 2D of light and shadow. Watercolor is more difficult because of the translucency and layering.

Can i ask if you have cut some of the well partitions in your Liz Deakin palette to accommodate some of your more utilised colours ( ochre, ultramarine etc)?
@RobertMeeArtist

Yes, I found them a bit small. So for the colours I use a lot I cut out the divider. Here is a video about the palettes I use. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dWdsw7mqnMm5mqw.html
