How To Make Your Own RMT / Rolling Rope

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I show you how easy it can be to make your own RMT Rope or Rolling Rope - a fantastic training tool and definitely one to add to your arsenal.
You may have seen people rolling ropes from the likes of Octomoves or David Weck (WeckMethod). If you are a beginner or just curious to learning some moves I would highly recommend you making your own rope to start with. Later on you may justify paying $30+ for a "original". I personally would like to get one online to feel the difference in weight and quality but shipping to Saudi Arabia is never straight forward :P

Anyone from WeckMethod or Octomoves watching this and would like me to compare "legitness" of one of your own Ropes vs a DIY - don't be shy sending a few my way ;)

Nice video! Do you know if hemp or cotton would be heavy enough? Did you ever end up weighing the completed rope?

Thanks :) From top of mind hemp or cotton doesn’t sound like it would be heavy enough but I’ve never tried. Completed rope was just under 1kg.

In my opinion, 12mm double braided nylon to start. It will weigh about 500g That looks like 16mm twisted nylon which will weigh 750g. Stay away from polypropylene rope. It's too light.

It was from a random DIY store in Riyadh for $4. I just chose the thickest and heaviest rope they had available. Use it a lot and still in decent condition. I would suggest you also visit a local DIY store and see what you can find. All the best 👊🏽
