This was a big surprise for me. Thanks a lot, young man. I have changed my muffler on my 1994 Lincoln Continental 3.8 L v6, and it was loud, the guy put a smaller muffler and was making a lot of booming sounds, It took me about half an hour to make your COLA CAN MUFFLER SILENCER. Now my Lincoln Continental as quiet as a mouse. :-)

Not clear latex gloves...hard work gloves. I used to do metalwork for a living and getting cut down to the bone in your pinky is NOT fun. Clear latex gloves do nothing.

I just did this on my 2019 civic type R. No need to replace the exhust anymore

I am a big fan of the use of tin cans on exhaust, you could make the whole thing from the cat down out of beer cans lol!

Ok. So tried this on my straight pipes with just the cans alone. It works very well! Even just the cans. Took away a fair bit of high end noise, and smoothed out the tone and reduced it to a more tolerable db level...... however.... unless bolted in. Aint gonna stay in 🤣🤣🤣 mine flew out after 5 minutes of hard going lol!!!

I have 3" straight pipe duals on my c4 I used two old diesel truck filters with the ends cut and guys removed works so much better especially when fastened in place with the pipe clamps

Years ago we would just shove stainless steel dish scrubbies down into the pipes, get the "fix it" ticket voided and fish the scrubbies out with a coat hanger later.

regular Steel wool leaves small fibres that rust in a heart beat.. Great way to start it rusting from the inside.

There's no doubt your "mufflers" work. You can get even more sound reduction if you use, say, 3x more steel wool, or maybe double the aluminum cans and stagger the holes in them, or maybe just ram a bunch of fiberglass packing/cloth/insulation up the tailpipes. Best part is that it will all be self-equalizing: just put your car in neutral and stomp on the gas every so often. Does the car sound comfortably muted? Great! Did your exhaust pressure blow the restriction out in protest? Great! See, self-equalizing! And, the power is self-equalizing, too!

I am going to try this on my 2002 Saturn SL1.

If you block the exhaust system up you're taking a big chance of over heating the pipe causing the pipe to turn cherry red and catching on fire so be cautious when doing this.

The back pressure on any car silencer is very important by doing this you mess up the back pressure and the car motor will not give you the power ,performance and fuel saving that its supposed to give you just change you rear box to a monza or good quality muffler.

Zachary Smail sorry won’t affect the car at all. Idk if U know but catalytic converters, resonators, and mufflers on a stock exhaust are way more restrictive causing a lot more back pressure than a small can lol and my car only has 2small muffs. No cats
