Me and my sister made this frosting, and it was beautiful! We don't have a hand mixer so we had to mix it by hand, it was great but you just have to add a lot more milk. As you mix it you just add a half teaspoon when the mixture gets too clumpy.

I tried this recipe today since i had all the ingredients. Im not quite sure what i did wrong, but it came out super dry and clumpy even though i made sure to measure everything out by the gram. I added more milk to the mixture to try to fix it, but then it ended up like icing, runny. Please let me know what i did wrong, i would love to try it again and get it right this time

You may have added a bit too much milk. On your next try I would suggest adding additional milk in very small increments until your desired consistency is reached ❤️

I just tried it and mixed all these ingredients the accurate amount and still didn't get the creamy texture but a very thick liquid. Am I supposed to sift the sugar first, since I could also taste the crunch of sugar even after whisking 20 mins. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks so much for giving the recipe a try! Yes, sifting will help to prevent any clumps. If you're finding your icing too thin adding more powdered sugar, 1 tbsp. at a time, will help thicken it up. Let us know if you have any other questions ❤️

Absolutely LOVED this recipe, instead of vanilla extract I used strawberry extract, and it works just the same! 10/10. Definitely using this recipe again 🤍

If you are wanting to make a smaller batch we would suggest halving all of the ingredients to ensure the consistency of your icing is not too runny.

If you don’t have powdered sugar you can use 2 cups of granulated sugar and 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla it’s helped me and I’m so glad because the frosting came out so good 😊

It will work, however, we highly recommend using unsalted and adding salt to taste.

Omg!! Tried this today and it was soo good 😌 I added coffee and coco powder instead of vanilla and OMLL so delicious!! Just saying it’s a really really sugary so if you don’t like sugar I would recommend adding less!! Ty for the recipe 🤍

You can, although we highly recommend using liquid. Powder Vanilla may result in a grainy texture in your icing.

That’s basically it. You can try palm oil or a vegan spread as an experiment. Or coconut oil. Results will not be the same.

My daughter's birthday was about 2 weeks ago, and I asked for your help, and I need to thank you. Because I tried it, but something went wrong. So I kept it in the fridge, and looked at other methods. I needed gluten of some sort, to not only make the icing, but to keep from melting, or becoming 'blah'. . So, I looked up, and found out that I needed cream cheese AND 'pudding dust' and two spoons of corn flour. I don't know what I did wrong with your method, but I added the pudding thing and the corn flour, after I took what I had in the fridge and combined together!! Wow! Mt daughter loved the cake and the icing, but I loved it even more, because it stayed in place! I need to add, If you live in a very hot/ warm place, try keeping the cake in the freezer for an hour ( if it's a cold cake) before you serve.
