I absolutely LOVE this recipe! I have been making it for years. These cookies are always requested by family and friends. If you have never made these cookies, you should definitely give it a try! No baking experience required as these amazing Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies are very quick and easy to make. They definitely are a crowd pleaser!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup White Sugar
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) Unsalted Butter (softened at room temperature)
1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1 Egg
1 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
3/4 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
36 - 56 Chocolate Kisses (depending how big you make your cookies)
Instructions:
Mix together white sugar, brown sugar, butter, peanut butter and egg with a mixer until creamy.
Sift together the dry ingredients and add to the peanut butter mixture.
Beat or mix by hand until well blended.
Using a cookie scoop, teaspoon, (or small melon scooper), place dough on cookie sheets lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 F. degrees for 9-11 minutes (or 8 mins. convection bake).
Remove from oven and push the chocolate kiss into the top of each cookie.
Let cool, and enjoy.
Note: These cookies freeze well too. Let cookies cool until chocolate kiss is hardened, then place cookies in layers between wax paper in airtight container.
