Ebunuebunu soup is a popular green soup indigenous to the Akan people from Ghana. It’s locally made with kontonmire(taro leaves), however, spinach serves as a great alternative. It is enjoyed with fufu. Below is the link to my fufu video. Please check it out and thank you so much for watching!!
INGREDIENTS:
* 8 large kontonmire leaves or 2 packed cups of spinach
* 1 pound smoked turkey pieces
* 1/4 pound cured beef
* 1 Roma tomato
* 1 medium onion whole and peeled
* For marinade (1 habanero chili, 2 small Serrano chilis, 1/4 teaspoon of fennel seeds, 5g of ginger, 1 cloves of garlic)
* 1 heaping tablespoon dry smoked shrimp
* 1 tablespoon dawadawa ( locust bean)
* 2 large blue crabs
* 10 small white mushrooms
* 3 fresh snails
* Smoked fish
* Salt to season
* 3 habanero chilis

Nana, I just got some dry snails from Ghana 🇬🇭 and this your dish/food came to mind. I saw u used the fresh snails. Can I also use my dry snail to prepare this dish, and will it taste good like yours? 😍🏃♀️ You re doing a great job Nana. You re the best! ☝️
@NanaabasKitchen

Certainly Agnes! Just rehidrate your dry snails in some warm water for a few hours and incorporate it in your soup. It will be just as tasty, possibly tastier as dried food items tend to have a more intensified flavor! Excited for you! Let me know how it turns out love 😘

That looks like Callaloo Leaves 🍃
How do you know when it's done because of the green colour?
@NanaabasKitchen
4 жыл бұрын
The soup is done cooking before adding the green component. Cook for an additional 10-15 mins only in order to prevent destruction of the nutrients offered by the greens.
What can you substitute the meat with if you are vegan or vegetarian?
