Great simple video thanks

I live in America but I vividly remember my bibi (daadi) used to make rotis on tandoor and all the women in the evening would gather at our haveli to make rotis on that tandoor. It used to stay warm overnight where she would leave daal once everyone was done cooking. Oh and that food was delicious. I am giving it a try to make a backyard tandoor here. Hopefully it will be good. Thank you so much for this video.

Thanks for the great instructions, I just finished making tandoor as well after watching your video. I used 55 gallon steel drum as well. I also made tandoor from scratch with Mitti and Clay which is hard to find here in USA so that was the hard part.

Great Ez to follow and make one, however could you show or write about the way to add coal and ignite it, I do not see a provision or a grill to add the coals and removal the ash out of it. Where do the skewers sit when they are inserted in the over? How does the Cover fit? Much appreiciate your input. Have most of the components to build it except to the clay pot. Thanks a lot Arsalan. not that much I just put an empty box inside the tandoor and fill that with the ash and bring the box out.

Well the process is shown here in this video took one complete day to let it dry, but if you are building the clay oven from the scratch then it might take couple of days.
