Please one bit of anti fire spreading advice.. Under every place you make fire, take the Top soil away until you are on a sand layer! Because when the roots inside of the Top soil catch flame, you can easily cause a big forest fire without realizing it.. Those roots catch fire, carry on in the top soil and can come out even 2-3 days later on a total different spot of origin. That's why you see the most clear the Top soil and grass patch before making a fire place and even make a stone pit if is possible. To be fair, most say it, show it once but don't really execute the words they spread and expect that everybody has seen the advice and think they spread the message to 100% of their followers. So, not only the loose leaves and spruce needles but way more has to go! I have seen you pull out the roots/vines, so deeper then that is for sure a must! I know there is a sand layer underneath the compost top soil, dig a pit to that level and when done after take a load of water to wet the spot so you/somebody else that is a fellow Bushcrafter can inlay the grass you dug out/put the Top soil back on their spot.. This is not only advice pointed directly ONLY to you, it is advised to every fellow Bushcrafter 😊 Please do not see this as a negative comment, it is purely positive feedback, okay? No angry keyboard warriors gamer, simply a "colleague to colleague thing" 👊😎 Because it would be devastating to all to see forests go up to flames by the human hands. When it is by thunder storms and lightning it is natural, a whole other ballpark. Keep up your sporting regime and your down time Bushcraft! Take care, be safe.

Wow man, I appreciate your advice very much, thanks! However - I’m very cautious and attentive about the forest’s health, but I will consider what you said, thanks for that! Are into bushcraft as well?
