How to make Super 20000 mAh Power Bank (120W) - DIY fast charge Power Bank

How to make Super 20000 mAh Power Bank (120W) - DIY fast charge Power Bank
In this video, I show you how to make a power bank with multiple fast charging outputs using several batteries and a fast charging module.
To make this power bank, I have used 6 3.7V batteries, which have a total capacity of 20000 mAh. which can charge the phone several times.
You can use laptop battery to make this power bank

This is a very nicely done project with some very good ideas that are worth taking inspiration from. Thank you very much for making it! May i suggest you add reverse biased diodes to the outputs of each BMS? I learned the hard way that a BMS can be fried when it turns off while being in series with another that doesn't and a load passes current. Then, due to the negative voltage presented on its input, the controller can burn out. A (Schottky) diode limits that voltage to a safe level and prevents damage. A simple and cheap addition with great effect. Happy DIYing!

Amazing job man. But a little piece of advice for the battery assembly, you could stick a layer of duct tape or foam tape to prevent the small plate from puncturing the battery sticker so it wouldn't cause any short circuit. Also, for the BMS could have a foam tape undeneath it to prevent from short circuit.

I would like to know how did you come up with the 20000mAh , 1st you use 3350mAh/ cell, 2nd you make a series connection that gives you a total of ~25.2V(full charge) @ 3350mAh, 3rd series battery's gives you higher voltage not higher current, for that you need to connect them in parallel and 4th your total output should be if the battery is fully charged ~ 85W.

@@PenguinDIY Wrong, basic rule for total Power is Volts(total) times Amps(total) = Watts , the capacity in your case is not calculated by number of cells and voltage, if you ever open a power bank and you find 3 cells in series the capacity is calculated like this, total voltage of the cells combined times the cell current, if the cells are parallelly connected its cell voltage times parallel current, in your case you have 6 cells X 3.7V= 22.2Vx 3.35A( since you have none in parallel the current stays the same)=74.37W, if you have used a 3S2P BMS your capacity would be the same. Thank you, good job you have done. Now, I understand when hull's design put in the first place of a project, but the rest equipment considering after and how it breaks practice of installation and using those equip. It reminds me of some cars which are nightmare for a mechanic))

To by mogło zaoszczędzić mi czasu na szlifowania wejść i wyjść, ... No taki mam pomysł bo nie lube szlifować. W ogóle pomysł na obudoway, dizajn zresztą też mistrzostwo świata, REWELACJA dzięki.

Impressive dremmel and soldering skills. Your epoxy handling was very good also. The whole idea is good. I had made one of those back in the day using the same PD 65W modules, but connecting a 7S pack instead. The only challenge was how to charge it and my lame solution at the time was to use a 7S charger... Nowadays I would use a PD triggrer board connected to a boost converter with a current limiter (not sure if it would work though). I actually stopped trying to build a power bank using boost and buck converters... It short of worked... I could potentially (if the wires inside were thick and the cells were capable) draw something like 500W out of a small power bank through a XT30 port, which is cool...but I would need a 1000W boost or buck converter to do so... And it's much more practical to just have a battery pack for that kind of stuff... So, this kind of power bank approach really didn't make sense anymore. My new designs consist of a 5S 100W board (having 2 USB A and 1 USB C output, but also lightning and micro USB for charging alongside the aforementioned USB C port which is also used for charging) and a simple 5S2P pack. (you can't really go 1S because if someone tries to charge the thing with 100W, it won't be happy with almost 5A going through every cell... ~2,5 isn't ideal either, but most cells can handle it and the occasional 100W charge won't do too much harm (ideally you want to be at 2A or less for most cells). When using a 3D printer, the power banks created are very compact for the 126Wh (35000 mAh) of capacity and I only need to solder 6 wires between the board and the pack. So yeah... Really nice video, but I believe there is a bettr approach to this (not to mention much cheaper and way less time consuming)
