Hi Matthew -- have you considered making a low carb version of this recipe? Theoretically it would use almond + coconut flours, as well as alternative sweeteners (a la "Lakanto" or "Swerve"). I like your concept but we cannot eat that many carbs. My sister is Type 2 Diabetic & I'm healing a couple chronic conditions w/ LCHF foods. Thx

What size pan would I use for a half batch?
Great video. My question is regarding the icing need g to stayed chilled. Can these sit out for a few hours for a Halloween carnival? Thanks
What would happen if you leave out the butter in the topping? Would the icing still work?
I don't like squash mix so I'm going to try this with sweet potatoes
Do you cool it down completely in the baking sheet,i think its easier to transfere it to acooling rack then spread the cream cheese frosting on top what do you think.

Hello! Both ways work! Often times it can be hard to remove without breaking if you take it out of the sheet. and then if you put it on the rack you have to then transfer it again to a HUGE cutting board to cut it or another large surface, so sometimes it's easier just to leave it the sheet pan to cool. cause then you can cut the bars right in the pan :)

Wonder if some nuts & miniature dark chocolate chips would sink to the bottom? I wouldn't mind but... Any tips for keeping inclusions from sinking to bottom other than coating them with flour? Thanks in advance and 🌽 HAPPY THANKSGIVING🌽

I don't know... sheet pans are pretty thin. Not much room to keep things suspended. Maybe if you added stuff manually after 10 minutes of baking. You're going to frost the top anyway...

@@CitizenPerkins, Thanks so much for the suggestion. I'm just getting back into baking after a few years. Maybe I will use a slightly deeper pan. I'll definitely post results here after my experiment : )
