I made this dish on Sunday. It was so good my husband and I ate two big bowls. My stomach hurt all night because I ate so much! It's rich and creamy. I have made baked potatoe soup before but hands down this was better! My advice is to eat small helpings! It's that good! Two Thumbs up! If I had more thumbs you would get them all!

Im weird, I'll watch videos of the thing I am currently cooking. Tonight im making this and we have a grip of leftover Hawaiian rolls leftover from Thanksgiving so this is dinner. Always like to freshen up on my soup recipes when it gets colder and it's been cold here in TN lately

Well, you don't have to bake the potatoes first. They cook in the pot. It should still taste good, but it's probably an unnecessary step. That was a few months back, so I'm curious how it turned out.

This is my favorite soup recipe and you can alter ingredients if needed. Add some Velvetta, hot sauce (couple teaspoons) and White Pepper, and it'll taste like O'Charleys loaded soup. You can use whole milk, and/or half-n-half if you have it on hand or want to adjust the thickness. 🤤🤤🤤

Y’all… I make a recipe basically exactly like this one at leaaaast once a month (I make a ton so it lasts forever) and it’s one of the best soups to date; and while you’re at it, make yourself some chicken and gnocchi for leftovers too. You’ll be in soup heaven all month!!

I'm making a tortilla soup tonight it's pretty much the same concept, minus potatoes and bacon but add black beans, corn, cilantro, pepper, onion, rotel, hamburger meat, taco seasoning. Top with tortilla chips, avocado and sour cream. Damn....I'm hungry now.

If it's too thin also at the end like mine is kinda you can add some instant potato flakes, cornstarch slurry or what i did was cube another potato or 2,wrap it in paper towel in a plastic grocery bag and microwave it for 5 mins to make it soft. Then add and smash.. (i do this with whole potatoes also when I'm in a rush for baked potatoes. Putting it in the bag steams it but if you're doing a whole potato you need to pierce it so it doesn't build up steam and burst I added a little more liquid than normal this time around and I know as it cools it will thicken but its like a runny clam chowder and i want it more creamy
