lol thanks bro!
Thanks for putting this up. Really helpful as I started learning Blender to make a mockup of a board game I'm designing.

This has been incredibly helpful for my upcoming playing card Kickstarter, thanks! By any chance do you know of any accurate playing card texture to give the cards that linen card stock look?

Ah unfortunately I don’t, you could probably get that look by playing around with the shader
Hey, thanks, this is really helpful. But it would be useful to know why you're doing certain things - like at 2:25 when you "click the front face, and click UV and then go 'project from view'". I have no idea why I did that or what it does. It would be useful to know so I can understand what it does in other things moving forward. It's different from the bevel etc because I can see what that change was, but I can't see anything change so I don't understand. With making a material, is this just a PNG/JPEG that's placed on a face? I am looking to render a board game, so I have some cards, which I can do front and back, but is it possible to 'wrap' the image around a shape to make a box, I have the net of the print that would be wrapped around the box. It would be great if you could expand a little on the implications of what you're doing. Like when you use the array, you explain a bit about how it could be used in other cases. Good tutorial though, thank you

Thanks I appreciate the advice, I’ll be sure to go into a lot more detail in future videos and explain things a lot better.
Hello, thanks for the great video! I have a question while following all the steps. Suddenly the front face I made is automatically reflected on the back face upside down and the color looks darker like it has been reversed, which means that I can't apply materials to the back face...can you tell me how to fix it? Thanks a lot!

I’m so sorry, I didn’t see you message. Hope you’ve figured it out tho! If you haven’t you just have to give the card a little bit of thickness
Am i stupid? When i do bevel, my card's verticies don't become round but become diagonal
I try to scale the deck down in size, and it makes all the cards go very high, it makes them smaller but also increases size between each card gap??
@David.Owairu

Does this happen after you’ve set all the individual origins of the cards? If so in order to fix you have to isolate the scaling to just the x and y plane. To do this, press s then hold shift and press z. This will stop it from scaling vertically which means no gap 👍🏾
My dear friend I m like your valable this post I m very interesting blender software
when i go to uv editor the image doesnt go in so i have to put it in, and there is no outline for the card on the editor, nor can i change the position of the png on the card, pls help me
You did a great job, but after 2:40 wasn't really working. Good on you though, you know what you're doing and you're super good at Blender!

I know your problem. I had the exact same one. But I figured out how to fix it. If you cant do both bottom and top with 7, click the z and -z at the top right of your screen.

You can't select the bottom face because you didn't apply the solidify modifier.

@@aak8297 thank you 🙏
when I apply the modifiers, it doesn't give me 2 faces
I don't know why but back side of my card shape is uneven in uv editor.
Thank you. Hello, from Ukraine

Did you add a solidify modifier and apply it ?
umm, nope it doesn't work on blender 2.9.3, settings are all different. I can add solidify on the surface. and the round bevel side need to press a then z then I can get it to be round but not accurate.. think I need to find a newer method
@David.Owairu

If it’s not accurate it might be because you need to apply the scale and transformations on your object. Try pressing ctrl + a in object mode and choose apply all/ apply scale.

@@David.Owairu I see,Thanks so much. I think I got a rough idea on how to select it differently. But after I apply the png on the back side. It’s like mirror flip. After I flip it back the image the card became haywire. I try see if there is other way. Thanks for the tutorial.
