How To Make Palm Leaf Manuscript DIY, তাল পাতার পাণ্ডুলিপি, Real Palm Leaf Manuscript Making
Palm-leaf manuscripts are manuscripts made out of dried palm leaves. Palm leaves were used as writing materials in South Asia and in Southeast Asia dating back to the 5th century BCE and possibly much earlier. Their use began in South Asia and spread elsewhere, as texts on dried and smoke-treated palm leaves of Borassus species (Palmyra palm) or the Ola leaf (leaf of Corypha umbraculifera of the talipot palm).

Whenever I talk about the greatness of our ancient people some random people come and comment like if they were so knowledgeable then why did they write on palm leaves and not discovered paper......I tried to find the reason on internet but never found satisfactory results that why our ancient sages who had great wisdom couldn't discovered Paper....then I researched about making of palm leaves before writing, then I concluded that they have made these palm leaves so strategically so that they can preserve their writings for centuries....if they have written it on paper it must have been destroyed early.....I don't know if my hypothesis is correct or not, but I truly believe that their must have been a solid reason behind writing on palm leaves and not on paper. Well thanks for making this video.. it's really great feeling to watch ancient things making in modern era.

As there were trade links between Yemen, presumably the technology was shared, I guess originating in South Asia. I'll try doing this - if I can find a palm tree like yours in England. What type of palm tree did your leaves come from? [Oops! I see you tell us the types of palm in the description - thanks!]
