They look spot on mate, don't put yourself down. The painting is perfectly fine, it's scenery after all. The thin slice of wire coating for the hole is genius!

Thanks yeah, I don't mean to put myself down per se, just to say that better painters could maybe make them look better :) The wire was just a flash of inspiration when my first idea was bad!

The second hole must be like in all sealed containers; a hole for air makes getting the liquid out of the barrel much easier.

Thank you kindly. The foamboard idea was what made me want to do the vid, the wire coating was just a random flash of insight when my first idea didn't work so well. Thanks :)

That plastic wire coating was a stroke of genius! All you need now is some stenciled on letters. I feel that would take it to the next level. Shouldn’t be too hard to print something out, paste it onto cereal box, and cut it out.

if you have some pipe leftover you can use a file to sharpen the end to make a bit of a hole punch. A couple of whacks with a hammer and you can get through the card.

The coupling idea wasn't new of course, you even mention it yourself. Your own personal touches though have totally set yours apart. The wire idea is brilliant. I have to do that to mine. Smashing a few down is a great idea too and lets face it, what's going to look more like a smashed metal barrel than a miniature smashed metal barrel. Hard to replicate that with other materials. Great job 👍

I love the idea of putting sticks and things and goop inside of the barrels I’ve never seen anybody do anything with the inside. Wonderful ideas do you play Warhammer or Necromunda? 99 cents each here for those at the hardware store. Most of those barrels at that era would look like somebody beat them with a hammer or a very big truck lol

  • @TerrainMadeEasy

I'd argue not quick. You'd have to wait for the foam, then perfectely carve out a cylinder with the details / banding if you wanted that. Nah, I think it would be lightweight but not quick, and difficult to make it look right. Like how would you do the indented lip. Not for me.
