Have you ever thought about making a scissor lift that mounts either side of the bike lifting it from the usual swing arm and front fork points? I would like to make something like that one day.

Thanks for the video. That nut that you brought in at 4:13, is that normal nut? becasue the screw rod you used is more like a lead rod, with flat threads. Does a normal nut "spacer" work?

Hi, wouldn`t it be smart with a stop-rod with several holes on down-sides of the plate ? Just for safety ?

You can have the option to use drill to turn it up and down.

Love it but why the vice style handle? Maybe a bolt so you could use a ratchet for faster use when its close to the ground.

Or a cordless drill with an adapter. Works awesome on truck camper manual jacks.

Would you consider making one to sale...? I would be interested in buying it from you. I have seen many different ones but I really like how you have made this.

doesnt look like it will be stable at all half of the jack has no support when its raised up. be interesting to see it used with a complete motorcycle

personally, I'd use something supplementary and more stable, like a damn log AFTER the bike is lifted. After all, this is just a lift, not a lift table. Also, I have more concerns about the threaded stud in the center. I know exactly how bad are these in terms of material quality and even if it isn't shit, making it a centerpiece (a single one, I must emphasise) is basically putting all your eggs in one basket with a gigantic hole in it. Especially considering the lathe is there, just making some solid rods with thread outside of the contact zone would be much more reliable.

Yes, you too can make one of these! With just a simple home engineering workshop, a few thousand pounds/dollars of tools, and an array of professional skills, you can make your own motorcycle lift!!! Or you can go the the shop and like.....buy one.
