​@@sweetlyloreleitook me 2 years to get enough subs to get monetized. I had 600 subs for a year or more and I had met the wall you could say. Until I changed it up and went more into it. The last 5 months I've gotten 100 subs a month and mostly through shorts. I guess the story is, don't give up, have fun with what you do and do shorts even if you are focusing on long form 😄

Just started posting videos 3 weeks ago and doing it consistently. So far so good, purely organic. Learning new skills and sharing our videos is already a satisfaction, other than that will be a cherry on top. As long as we love what we are doing and motivated with our end goals then everything will just follow. Cheers to all of us this year! 😊

@@the_occult_philosopher surprisingly, it took me about just right away. I think its more about how good and original your video is to get some attention. KZread algorithm is just another word for audience. The more they engage and like it the more it will be recommended.

That's a fantastic dream! Starting a KZread channel as a side hustle is a great way to explore your creativity and share your passions with the world, all while potentially making some extra income. The best part is that it's totally doable, and there are many successful KZreadrs who started out just like you-as hobbyists.

Posting Shorts still work really great for me as a side hustle on my second channel. I mean, I am just small content creator and I work really hard (I also use a little bit of fame -ster, but that's a necessity nowadays). I just give all my videos small initial boost, and that caused them to spread literally everywhere, bringing more and more organic views day after day.

I personally believe that whether it takes 1 month or 1 year when God says it's your time than you will definitely make it on this platform

If you want to make money from ads, it’s best to turn them on because even if you’re NOT in the YTP, they still can make money off your videos. I’ve seen ads on my videos even when I wasn’t monetize. Especially if you’re making good content and get 1000s of views. Now, if you don’t care about all that and taxes and what not, then you don’t have to be monetized. I have another channel where I upload anything and don’t care about monetization on that channel. The content has copyright claims and videos that won’t be getting monetized.

@@Faithistheanswer that was the “idea” after I knew the channel wouldn’t get monetized, so yeah, I would genuinely try to upload affiliate marketing videos time to time.

Just got my first sponsorship offer-looking good! I'm not even monetized. I've earned $70 from this sponsorship, and I hope to see more! Ad revenue is important for many, but it doesn't have to be everything.

@savi78622 I feel like it's been mainly shorts. They help SO MUCH. I get some of my main videos to grab, based on most of the tips they have given out. Tags help long form videos and shorts boost your channel views overall due to an overflow affect.

Thanks so much for sharing this! It really helps a newbie like me. It took me a good 6 weeks posting shorts consistently to go from 68 to 485 subs! I was amazed. Now I need to work more on skills and longer content. Watch hours is hard 😖

So much anxiety to get there. I only have 244 subs, so long way to go. Hoping to get there by summer. I would think that the closer we get, the more momentum we develop. And at the end of the day, a single video can get you monetized. Speaking of single video, my last two videos, which are a short and long version of the same content have moved into the top 3 in just 3 days. And because they are really the same, are my top performers. This shows the power of a single good video. Or the power of a good thumbnail / title combo. Best of luck everyone.

@@Ronnileearagon if you mean to improve the channel, then No. most of the work that needs to be done involves time. And that seems to be a factor I don’t have a ton of. Slowing down a bit, and trying to put more effort into my videos is probably a good idea.

Nice video! I don't see that type of content surrounding monetization very often!

I got monetized five years ago and then lost it when the new REQUIREMENTS was made and I didn't get it back so is there an way to get it back.

I got monetized even when i had a copyright strike takedown on one of my videos, Don't know how. But all others videos were orginal content. Guess its not a problem if most of your videos are original content.

Sometimes I guess people don’t want other people using their content because they can make money off and earn money off it so they want to use it as their own and it is claimed owned no body can use it used you’ll get copywrited..

I get a copywrite for music in the background of the game but it also says it wont affect my channel. Does that mean it wont affect it when i try to get Monetized also?

My channel got demonitized for the very first time back in November for 3 months. I was demonitized for reused content, but they didn't give me a 30 day ban like you said in the video, they gave me a 90 day ban. Could that be because I had too much reused content on my channel that they decided to skip the 30 day ban and suspend me for 90 days?

Watch hours is definitely the hardest part, specially since it doesnt cover shorts

Absolutely! I feel it's near impossible to be honest. I'm well over 2k subs now, still not even tot the first tier of monetization bc I'm stuck at around 1200 watch hours :/

@ShredFit101 nope. Unfortunately, not an option due to some practical limitations. We can only do shorts and long form. With both it's quite unlikely we'll get monetized anytime soon. People love our content, the algorithm kinda hates it, though

My channel has been growing slowly but steadily over the past year. However, suddenly my views dropped by about 90% last week and have continued at that level. I checked to see if I had messages from YT indicating that I had screwed things up in some way, but there were none. I checked for other indications in setting, etc. but nothing there. I am at a loss. I publish a video every week and my latest effort is getting a dismal response. Do you have any idea what could be happening?

A few months ago, I tried posting comments on channels similar to mine, rationalizing that maybe some people would see my avatar, click on it out of interest, and potentially subscribe. That was an abject failure. Most Facebook and reddit groups don't allow members to post video content that promotes a YT channel. I don't know how I would do what you suggest.

Hi! I don't really know if you read every comment, but I have a big favor to ask. If you don't see this or don't want to do it, thats okay. I just want a little bit of help. In my last video about how to get the splits, I thought it was a decent video. But the click through rate was around 5%, there were only 6% of people watching at the end of it, and in the first 2 seconds, less than 50% of people were watching. I was wondering if you could watch it really quick (it's 4 minutes long) and give me some advice. Thanks ❤

Yes. I made that mistake and my watch hours dipped below 4000. It dawned on me that it was because I made some low performing videos private. I put them back to public and in a couple of days my watch hours for those videos were added back.😮

If you already get through with the 500 subscribers tier, will you need to apply again when you reach the 1000 subscribers or since the process already been gone through for the 500 subscribers tier you won't need to go through the process again to get monetized?

The best thing on a computer you have to have a camera setted up on your computer in order to record and make a short video on your computer 🖥️. The camera needs to be added and connected ……. I think that’s how you do it… I’m trying to figure this one out tooo…

Just crawled out of that 90 day hole as of Feb 8. And was re-monetized today through appeal. Spent those 3 months making videos that line up with their guidelines.

I need to learn this.. so I don’t make a mistake by copywriting someone’s else’s stuff I like using song on the phone and original sounds on the phone that KZread app has and I got copyrighted twice for using a song ….. so I deleted it and remade it using another song that didn’t have this copyright match tool
