@@TheSleepFairy. that's great , getting subs is way easier than watch hours in some niches , but specifically in music niche I think it's the opposite , because you get alot more watch hours out of your subs than we do, most of gaming channel's subs and most other niches watch our videos once or twice and don't remember us , but for music , alot of people re watch and re listen to most of them if they are well made, yours are well made , that's why you finished the hard part first

@@EnemaWattson exactly, watch hours matter more and are harder, I got 200 hours of it from one of my videos and 150ish hours from a few others but I need to make it consistent, if I can et 20 videos like that in a year outta all my videos, I got to 4K, currently I'm at 1K watch hours but I believe we all get to it if we don't stop

Hence the importance of picking a niche. Ad rev only matters if you have consistent views while loyal viewers create the most value for the creator(s) keeping the financial wealth flowing and growing.

That is true. I was actually making Mario Kart 7 content, and then all of a sudden, the video got ads much to my surprise.

Its such a loaded question. I am in the outdoor niche and my stuff is very seasonal. I have close to 3000 subs and in the spring/summer months, im making around $1 to $2 per day. once as the fall comes around during hunting season, i start making between $5 to $10 a day till around February when it starts to dip back down to that 1 to 2 dollars. My views also sky rocket during the fall as well as my CPM/RPM rise as well. This coming year im going to really focus on closing up the content gap that im missing in the spring and summer and try to have more consistent views and revenue.

I love the transparency provided in regard to KZread monetisation. It really makes a big difference when considering how to expand a channel. THANK YOU!!

My first month monetised was about $16! 😄 After 3 months I still haven’t made it to the $100 threshold to actually get paid. I've had some personal issues that have affected how much I've been able to post over that time though, and also putting time into my yearly calendar, which certainly does better than ad revenue!

I’ve gained 115 subscribers in the last week off shorts and streaming. Watching videos on how to grow and what to do is super helpful when trying to start a channel. That being said don’t let those growth videos pull you away from your content itself. Remember content is still 90% of your growth not the tags the titles etc

Just keep in mind it’s very much varying on many levels and depending on even more things. Basically 1000 subscribers alone won’t provide any value if nobody watches content. But it gives a rough estimate.

We are a small channel who make pizza and review ingredients. We monitored in May 2023 as of today our stats are 1,200 subscribers 6k views per month 12 min video length on average 76 videos £3.58 RPM £12 per month (roughly) It’s still a hobby for myself and my Son and we don’t expect to make millions. I don’t think I will be giving up the day job, but I will continue to enjoy what we do. I get more from comments and having a community at the moment. The little payment now and again is secondary to that community spirit. Keep going everyone your amazing Mat

Fwiw, lawn care edu rpm for me over the last 365 days was $8.25 netting just over $34k in ad rev. For creators smaller than me, its just a big snowball. Constant additions to your content library increase annual revenue...and of course increase traffic funnels to income that doesn't come from yt adsense. Website, affiliate, product sales, etc make every day more lucrative and rewarding. Will be interesting to see if rpms increase as the channel grows though, im guessing some advertisers may pay extra for placement on specific channel videos. I dont think im there yet though.

Still working hard to get monetized!! I got about 5m views in 90 days a couple months ago, but of course they didn’t roll out the new monetization features until after all of those views were gone :( I think I’m going to start a merchandise store and hopefully that will start paying!!

My first month monetized was the first half of 2024 I will get 85$ for the first month, the second month I will have refocused my niche and nearly tripled Adsense revenue to 246$ gradually up till June of next year where I will earn 576$

This is great info. I've been monetized for about a year and a half, I average $30-40 per month most of the year, but in the last couple of months I'll make $100-200 per month. My channel typically gets 12k views (long format) and 8-10k views (shorts). I'm in the automotive niche. The frustrating thing is that my channel has grown, I'm getting more views every month, and yet... The money stays the same.

Great video. To echo this, it’s so variable. I make reaction videos, my first year I gained 15k subs and 2.5 million views. But my content is all subject to copyright claims. I would estimate more than 80% of my videos have claims which means I don’t make a penny from them. I made ~$5,153 usd in that first year. (Last year, I just started lol) the best advice I could give is don’t over obsess on these details at the beginning. Make videos. Then make more videos. And after that.. make some more videos! Good luck!

I don't even care about monetization, but still, very good video! To be honest, I'm far from being part of the KZread Partner Program, having only ~75 watch hours and 424 subs. (technically, the watch hours would be closer to 750 watch hours, had KZread counted KZread Shorts as well)

I frequently get a sense of being a lone traveller in the world of KZread, striving to find a welcoming community. I sometimes feel as though the work I put my heart and soul into has vanished into a void of apathy. Even if the lack of motivation might be discouraging, a flame of drive still burns inside me. I'll keep making things and expressing my enthusiasm in the hopes that one day it may speak to someone.💔

What I never understood is the logic behind it. So people who can spend 70$ a new game, hundreds of dollars on quality food (because let's be honest food ain't cheap) get shafted while people who do finance videos get ridiculous revenues, so watchers who safe money and put it on a saving account, buy stocks and so on... Logic where? People who actually spend money inside the ecenomy itself get shafted while the ones who save money and invest in stocks get better add revenues? Never understood that logic.

I got monetized 11 months ago and then got busy with life. Now getting back into it and hoping to see a better result in 2024. I’m glad I kept enough interest to meet my hours and subs for this last year!

just started my gaming channel, it was always in my head as a side hustle, I'll use those methods thank you so much!

As someone over 1000 subs but not monetized due to not hitting the 4000 hours, does this mean I should expect much less when I hit the 4000 hours?

I deactivated monetization on my videos because the average viewing time dropped a lot, but the first month the earnings from ads alone were only 24 Euros.🤣For me, KZread is more of a way to share my passion with others, more than a business. Good luck to you all.

@@EnemaWattson Hi Enema, I made my first long video at the end of April, and for some reason a video I made on June 2 was seen by a lot of people, and with that video alone more than 700 people subscribed, and I reached 1000 subscribers on June 24 and the 4000 hours at the end of July, but after this video al others returned to normal views and the growth has been quite slow, but I feel very happy that at least a group of people are interested in learning about photography in a simple way . A hug.

I just got monetized 1 week ago, I was accepted into the YPP for having more than 500 subscribers and more than 3000 watch hours, I'm 20 subscribers away from 1000 and 400 watch time hours from 4000

Is the "category" determined by KZread AI, or by what you select as the category when uploading the video? In other words, does the creator have ANY input as to how a video is categorized?

Things like music, game or education I know you can change on the settings. But for more specific things like let's say "MMO gaming" or "perfume review" I believe it's through IA. i wich to know how specific this can go.

Still trying to reach that milestone. I didn’t reach to 1k subscribers this year but next year for sure I’m coming for that🤞🏾🤞🏾

I built this channel up to 13k subscribers but don't really get many views these days (I don't have time to make as many videos and I really haven't done enough shorts) so we get just over 10k views a month which works out to about $30 a month

I am not really worried about the whole monetizing stuff right now i am just focused on making better videos 😅

So I'm a creator from a country that doesn't have monetization, I've completed my monetization and I earn measly 0.2$. My videos gets views but this is currently what demotivates me. (But hey I've earned a dollar and I'm great-ful for that)

Probably because you make content in what I presume is Burmese. Non-English content tends to have way lower RPMs than English-language content.

Once I’m monetised, I’m going to set up a new channel and make a video about how much I earned doing a faceless sleep music channel as I haven’t found any videos on this and have no idea whether it’ll have even been worth it till I reach 1000 subs!!

You have inspired me to continue, I was thinking to quit but really on the long run I think this is what I want to do, it is hard for me since is taking me time to learn how to edit, how to make the script for my videos but this is the video I needed to continue and don't give up, I only have 2 videos but I will continue to upload and I will improve until I succeed, wish me luck guys!

Love when subscriptions update and I can start watching the vid 3 seconds after it’s posted 🤣

It's hard to be persistent :( But I won't give up in making useful content. Started 9 months ago and the last weeks I see some growth. I also see that I'm getting better with each video I make. I know my content will help people, but I think that the algorithm needs time to find the audience..
